Very average signing if true
@fergiefurr said:He wasn't dumped by Canberra. He was playing consistently in first grade. He signed with the Warriors and then Stuart dropped him. Another highly rated junior who hasn't kicked on. Worth a look.

Yep, your spot on. Never got a look in NZ, mind you their outside backs are phenomenal, so local juniors have been the go.
He could come very cheap if so.
It's really a no risk signing. He has plenty of potential.

A few Warriors' fans believe he is headed to the WTs as part of the cleanout. I believe he is on a 3 year contract so the Warriors are likely to be contributing to his salary if true. As someone has previously said, he played well at the Raiders.

He became notable for his absence during farewell dedications, but departing Canberra Raiders centre Matt Allwood was secretly sent packing almost two months ago. Probed about their failure to recognise Allwood in any end-of-season functions, the Raiders confirmed they had released Allwood weeks ago, but refused to disclose any details of when or why.
Allwood, who has signed a three-year deal to join the New Zealand Warriors from 2015, would only describe his mysterious departure as "personal". Allwood's absence had gone unnoticed, given he was used only sparingly by the Raiders since signing with the Warriors in May. Despite starting the first nine NRL games of the season in his rookie year, the Raiders junior was dropped after announcing his deal with the Warriors and played only two more games for the season. Allwood was the only departing player not named on a farewell banner at Canberra's last match against Parramatta and he wasn't acknowledged in speeches or video tributes at Wednesday's Mal Meninga Medal function. Allwood was instead in Darwin on a fishing trip. "I got a released a couple of months ago, just some personal things," Allwood said.
