He is quite angry and bitter these days.

However I prefer Jonhns then listening to the ex fox guys like Phelan, Freeman, Pearce and Sailor fluff everything up with roses. NRL on fox is a really good show now. Although John's ego looks out of control I prefer the hard hitting approach to the fluff approach.
 
I thought Elliott was interesting and showed a different side. Just lie Anderson does on the ABC Grandstand.

I want to know what happened to Johns' neck?
 
I think people are missing the point Hybrid is making. Yet ANOTHER high profile personality has labelled us soft. Further proving that those on here who were denying it have their heads in the sand. Or has Kurt Cobain once said 'A denial, A denial, A denial' :righton:
 
Sadly he's turned into another one who believes all the yes men around him and his own publicity.
Says what he thinks is controversial before what he really thinks - but I don't disagree 100% in this case.
He was quick to dismiss the penalty count and possession figures as contributing anything.
 
Wow what an amazing insight he has. I honestly wouldn't have considered it unless a 2 bit, sad and bitter ex player had pointed it out. I'm sure it's because all the team hate each other too… Wait for an exclusive on Wednesday when he "has mail" that there is something NOT RIGHT AT THE TIGERS!
Then listen to his incisive cutting edge humour on MMM as he regales us with hilarious stereo typed characters. Nothing funnier than gay, racist and sexist jokes....what a guy!!!

Each to their own.

I reckon Matty, MG and Gus are absolutely bloody hilarious together.

They all know league back to front as well. Regardless whether you agree with their opinion or not, they offer plenty of insight.

I think Johns is somewhat shock jockish….he says what he knows will get a reaction
I think ppl take commentators too seriously...I do like listening to Matt Elliott though.
But yeh, we are soft

One more thing CT, if Johns isn't a 'high profile personality' what is he then? I don't like him, but he is a prominent ex-player who hosts a rugby league show in primetime. That doesn't classify him as high profile? :crazy
 
Gnr4life- I think in 2012 high profile is defined as having 5000 Twitter followers and a previous stint in rehab.

I remember people being frustrated when he sugarcoated everything on the footy show, now people are getting annoyed at him saying what he believes on Fox Sports.

I like how he is expressing his opinions, I think his controversy corner segment on his old show has told him that people want to hear honest opinions from the media, and in this case he is 100% right.

He is simply looking for headlines, but it isn't too hard to realise we haven't manned up over the past 2 weeks.
