Maxwell Sux Big Kahunas

Yeah sour grapes Ink. Of course.

We were under the pump for many more reasons than Maxwell. But he was a factor in tonights game whether you want to admit it or not

The biggest factors for mine were fatigue from the Townsville game carried over and some bad ball handling errors ( I do believe that the fatigue had something to do with this as well)

Maxwell compounded this by the way he officiated.

Further compounding this was when the one genuine prop dropped off the bench due to injury he was replaced by a back rower.

All in all a pretty dismal night at the office.

I do however believe that Maxwell should have to justify his decisions tonight to a review board.

Especially when a player gets dropped on his head and nothing is done about it.

maybe Ink - but he controlled the game - how much did he make us defend because he felt whimsical at the time. this guy is worse than hartley. no - nobody can be that bad. and Ink, no sour grapes, but I was at the match - it was just too much - he kept giving the bulldogs the ball. I dont mind if they were the correct decisions - but i dont know if they were. And Ink, when was the last time you saw a thread this big about a referee - doesnt that say something. We could of won tonight if we had had the opportunity of more ball. For me the bulldogs were hungrier - plus - they had all the ball.

Or a player gets taken out from a bomb…Ryan or tackled without the ball Benji...

See Innk...it's better to whine...

I must admit this is the biggest blow up I have seen on these forums and the old ones about a refereeing performance in recent times.

As Marshall was lining up the conversion attempt, Maxwell called out Kimmorley and Ennis and said: ''He [Ennis] has been good all game. Don't let it get away from him now.'

I don't mind losing to a better side, but we weren't given a fair go in the game, is that too much to ask to be given a fair go?

All the press reports mention 'questionable' refereeing decisions.

We could have won that game despite Maxwell - but there is no doubt his dubious decisions hurt us. The bulldogs gave up ONE penalty in the first half. ONE. Bullsh*t.

the penalties were 4-3 at the break….mind you . our last two came in the last few minutes .....refs are coached to even up the ledger.....1 penalty in particular irked me ...we were on the attack on the first tackle and he pings the dogs , it blew all our momentum out th window , when the advantage would have been to let play go on ....
i knew we were in trouble when they said before the game that all the money had come for the dogs...i watch mostgames on fox and i really thought this game was a gimmee for us ...o well .. bring on our next opponents

maybe maxwell is still annoyed that a wests-tigers supporter tackled him!!
never know may get him in a game later in season, where all the favourable calls go wests-tigers way.
o.k who I am kidding, that would be like leaving the portch light on for Harold Holt to return home.

Games go with momentum and possession and what wind we had in our sail was taken away by our defense load caused mainly by some very very average calls from the men in pink. Okay you look at the second half and say we were well and truly out played, but it all comes down to the extra petrol we used in the first half and it was a very humid night

he is a joke and he shudnt be allowed to ref again!
its a wonder there were'nt bottles flying at his head at the half time break

I thought it was a slow game with slow play the balls which doesn't suit us.

I'm not going to blame the ref for the loss though even though he did annoy me a little.

I dunno mate.
I saw us drop a lot of ball, had nothing to do with the ref…there we two calls I saw he couldve made in our favour, the lifting tackle and then the one where marshall was tackled without the ball but even then that one was 50/50
Too many errors, incomplete sets, penalties in possesion, failing to find touch....and mis tackles.
That said i agree hes a crap ref & I dont like him either...and his kids will never get caught in the rain with a nose the size of his
