Appears that next year will be a year for introducing youngsters, then go into the market in 2015 for more established stars.

Mayer speaks well and a good communicator ,surely the board would give him consideration for the CEO roll.

Thanks MTD I wanted to hear the interview Mayer impressed me have a feeling if he had a been in charge a couple of years ago the club wouldn't be in such a shambles but it has to be fixed one way or another so no time like the present

Thought he spoke very well. There was no hiding behind a bush there. Spoke honestly, assured and also from the heart. Disappointed, yet praised Marshall for his legacy to this club.

Does anyone know Mayer's background by any chance? If he was a footy player, or always a businessman etc?

The biggest challenge Mayer faces is dealing with the Wests Tigers board.

Since Steve Noyce left, its been something like a revolving door.

I read somewhere Mayer was quoted as saying he wants to stay in the position he was hired for,he is only helping out acting as a CEO until we get one, maybe a pay increase might make him change his mind.

Agree. From the sound of it we'll be chasing a couple of players in 2015\. I'd like to see Mayer as CEO still at that stage.

Not sure about his early days, I don't think he was a player but not 100% sure. He came onto my radar when he was CEO for Manly.

Very happy with his opening few months in control. I hope he stays and sees us through the restructure/rebuild.
