Mayer

At the risk of starting a whole new bunfight, does anyone have an official story on whether Teddy has ( or maybe is going to ) sign something…....anything...in the near future , before next season would be nice. Maybe we can take up a collection. Nah that doesn't seem to work

I seriously don't know what Mayer's problem is with Tedesco.
The contract offered to Tedesco is less than most of the other players including Brooks and Moses. Mayer promised he would top up his contract with 3rd party deals and of course Mr BS has failed to deliver.

Mayers problem with Tedesco? as in paying him a fair price and not a kings ransom to appease some greedy player agent?Im a big fan of Teddys but his injury concerns have affected his contract value.

Everyone has had a say on this topic, and before it gets fully blown, let's just wait and see if Mayer stays or goes officially.

As for Teddy maybe his contract is still a work in progress sorting out the finer details..I'm sure everyone including GM would want him to stay..
We are a forum of FRIENDS and we have always agreed to disagree at times…

Exactly, not a fan of Mayer,i think he is the wrong person at the wrong time but he can't be criticized for the handling of the Tedesco affair despite what RF says & thinks.Club can't be blackmailed by players agents into paying overs for a injury prone player.Balmain went thru a similar fiasco with Brasher.

Well maybe you guys would have to ask Moss what the go is on teddy's contract seeing he's the one who'd be dealing with it now…

Mayer wouldn't have had anything to do with it for a month or two now.

Who knows, maybe when Teddy decided to leave we spent some of his money on someone else, then teddy wants to stay and we have to be more creative as there isn't as much salary cap room as there was when the original contract was offered...?

I have told you what the hold up is with Tedesco and how disgracefully Mayer handled the whole thing but still we have people speculating with no knowledge of what is going on and obviously never had any dealings with Mayer.
Once more for the dummies….waiting for Mayer to deliver on his promises re 3rd party agreements.
As Mayer often recites...Don't believe ever thing you read in the newspapers.

Irvine what is your role with the Wests Tigers ? Your info has been incorrect in years gone by with other Wests Tigers matters , and your making out to know exactly what's going on with Teddy's Contract .

Mayer isn't going anywhere manly have appointed Joe Kelly as their CEO, he was 2IC at the rabbits before signing with manly

and that goes doubly for anonymous internet forums with someone with a known agenda against potter and mayer.

I thought Mayers performance was below par in 2014 …..... particularly for a person who holds such a high position within the club.
He is still under contract with us for 2015 so lets see how he goes under the new and more professional administration than was encountered this season.
I'm sure they wont tolerate such comments as Last Chance for Campbelltown etc

Just for clarification for this Dummy….Is this an internal TPA which would have to be included in the Salary Cap or is it and external TPA in which case Mayer would have no control over ....as they are supposedly between the Player and said Party....

This is the most easily rortable part of the cap , anyone could organize a TPA but as long as it is seen to be brought to the table by the player manager it is fine

As of yet i don't know the Positives that Mayer has brought to the Plate , i personally have said in other threads Months ago that Mayer has handled alot of situations very poorly in my Opinion?
1.The whole Potter Contract situation (leaving him in the dark for a long time )
2.His comments with the Campbelltown Stadium game early on the year got plenty of Wests Tigers fans of side
3.The Tedesco Contract Fiasco ? which is still ongoing in terms of becoming Official

These are what i can think of?
The Positives :
1.New Sponsor?
2.Retention of key Juniors ???????

I think most of those Juniors signed more for wanting to play with there mates than Mayer's influence.
I'm happy to be corrected?

Yes I understand that ….but it does not answer my question re Tedesco.....Is this TPA club affiliated (Cap inclusive) or is it from a third party not related to the Club (Cap exclusive) ?...

Mayer will be remembered for one thing that this club has not enjoyed for 15 years.CHANGE AND STRUCTURE at the top so it will be in a much better position for players to play, coaches to coach and CEO to CEO.Potter situation certainly was messy but lets face it when Potter was rumored to be going after saints game "virtually" no one wanted potter gone at that point(they wanted him to see the season out at least). The Tedesco situation could be considered a positive because the END RESULT is we will get him for cheaper and for a much more salary cap effective deal.Point 2 I agree with but maybe Mayer has realised kicking into Campbelltown when Leichhardt fared no better re crowds was a mistake.
