Mbye announced as captain

Yeah you get the feeling that Rowdy might be not in Maguire's plans

But then again I've always been a fan of picking the person who will benefit most by making them captain

You know what you will get from Rowdy whether he has a c or a z beside his name

I can’t agree with this decision. The plus is that he is young and has a future at the club.

Negatives are that he does not come from a culture of success, has no history with the club, and I have seen him drop his head more than inspire when things aren’t going well.

A slap in the face to guys like rowdy, nofa and brooks who have come through the club and committed their future.

None of them are leaders though. Chrissy sets a good example no doubt and is a pro, but doesn't possess as many leadership skills overall as Mbye.

Really not that left field when we're looking for a captain who'll be on the field for the majority of every game this season.

If Rowdy is not part of Maguire’s plans hope he gets off to a winning start otherwise things may turn ugly rather quickly

I must admit i am surprised by this, normally i like my captain to be closer to the action than fullback but i wish him well this year.Perhaps Lawrence didnt want the responsibilty and just wants to concentrate on his game he certainly would have been my choice

lol there was a poster on here that said Mbye wasn't a Madge style player and no definite to even be in the team…guess that was wrong..

Well Done Moses as others have said feel for Rowdy but he is still a leader with his actions...@happy_tiger will be one of the 1st blokes picked

Good decision by the club as Moses is an ideal role model on the field and off and speaks well.

I was shocked but not disappointed as well. He is such a good bloke.
Nice to hear Moses. :facepunch:

Better than having 5 captains (last year). At least when we receive a warning from the ref, Mbye will have a cool head and not argue (Cameron Smith)

Good appointment - Smart, articulate, will be on for 80 mins and will always be in the 17, forgoing something drastic. He'll give us the best chance with the refs.

Plus, if we start looking like the bulldogs, maybe Greenburg will get off our case!!

Judging by what greenberg seems to have in mind for Napa i doubt he would be any better. If we where the rorters souffs or donkeys things would impove immensely
