Mbye is the worst fullback in the competition

As a side issue, some have suggested Fonua in the centres.....Seriously guys, youre kidding.

The bloke is the worlds biggest and hardest runner....but he jogs up and down on the spot trying to side step. He is barely first grade material to be honest. Someone needs to tell him to run straight and hard, like he did in his first one or two games with us. But now, he is just running like he is playing bare footed on a hot asphalt road. Centres.......no thanks. Winger......barely.

I cant watch highlights of games we lose... but i can watch the press conferences... Madge always seems really positive after every game and its nice to watch that, he is 10x the coach that cleary will ever be

Apart from Brooks maybe do we have one back who could realistically run 50 metres to score. How many do the Roosters have or Storm or Raiders? That is why we have to rely on kicks or crash overs.
Liddle and Mikaele need to be signed long term .

Well said on the backs. Fonua was run down within 50m by a second rower and he had a 5m head start. Jennings, Momorovski and Nofolomu would not of done much better. Marsters and Thompson a little better (But doubt either would of scored). Mbye I have no idea.

100%.

He does not possess any qualities a centre has, like being able to set up an outside man, or even pass for that matter. His only score is making yards off a straight hit up and he is doing that at 50% for mine this year.

Because we have a lack of quality, realistically I don't see Nofo or Momorovski doing much better (Momo will defend better but offer zero in attack), I don't really care if he stays this year but moving 2020 and ahead, there is no other choice.

I put fonu in the centres cause he can’t be any worse then jenngings...atleast fonu has an offload

liddle looked dangerous out of dummy half, apart from those 2 kicks he put in which were not that good, i thought he did quite well

The thing is, there are plenty of fullbacks in the competition who offer nothing in attack, but at least for the most part they are safe and make little mistakes. Mbye would have to be one of the worst defensive fullbacks in the NRL. I mean last year, vs the dogs..... Kerrod Holland ran through him of all people, one of the biggest plodders in the history of the NRL. The miss on Dylan Edwards this year, all be it not an easy one, would have been made by a good fullback and we win. Last night, how on earth did he not hold Nat Butcher up last night - he was already being held by two players?

Then there is the fact he is a moral to drop a bomb each week and his positional play is unsighted.

He DOES have decent footwork, but its rarely used, and I don't think as a fullback its utilised.

He looked dangerous because it was the end of the game..
We were exhausted and the roosters were in third gear toying with us.

Forget blaming the rest of the team when our forwards can’t break a grass blade.
Nothings in motion unless thats working first

I’m afraid Cleary has left Madge with some absolute monster long contracts that will cause us pain for years Mbye, Reynolds, Packer between them earn 1.8m a year.

Yup. Up ? creek without a paddle.

Cleary's parting gift to us, it wasn't enough that he bailed and left us high and dry in the first place. The only upside is seeing his Penrith side (choc full of good players) play even worse! ?

I thought we were hitting Mbye with a big stick .....not Fonua

The more I see of Mbye the more I think utility ...jack of all trades ...master of none

@TIGERAURA It is very difficult to come on when the team is being totally dominated and look good in what you are doing.

Liddle did that apart from a few kicks (as I have said before, wasn't Farah supposed to be mentoring him).

Back on topic - on form, Mbye should be picked every week - in the Canterbury Cup. Doesn't matter how much we are paying him, at least he won't be derailing our season. He has had enough chances and he is also not a captain's bootlace.

Thompson to Full-back, Momirovski to centre, Nofo to wing (better than anyone else we have at the moment.

And, please God - Jennings to join Mbye in Canterbury Cup until we can afford to pay someone to sign him - no wonder "The Pride" (ha ha) wanted to get rid of him.

Liddle has to be given game time every week now - one way or another no decision can be made about his future until we see what he can offer.
As for Mybe he pjayed his best footy last week running from dh. Jack of all master of none - next stop the bench.

How Jennings is playing in front of Noffa is one of the game’s greatest mysteries. I shouldn’t be too hard on him because he isn’t a centre, but he’s done jack all this year. I’d move Fonua into the centres and recall Noffa.

As for Mbye, the captain isn’t getting dropped.

@TIGERAURA Yea. Im sure that's it. Let's go back to the 2005 design. Watch things change instantly. I cannot believe nobody has thought of this?? Are JFTA Petrochemical still around??

Not sure how many games you watched but Hoppa was way better than him at fullback.

You can't be saying that with a straight face Hoppa would be one of the worst fullbacks in the NRL he offers NOTHING in attack. They released Mbye not because they wanted to but cause they had to to release cap pressure. Not sure what games you were watching if you didn't think Mbye was one of their best players. A big part of their improvement was due to his switch to fb.

Hard to work out who is better, but would suggest that at least 12 other clubs have fullbacks (in some clubs it's multiple) that are better than both of them.

Momo in next week or the coach is a joke

8 rounds before the coach is finally called a joke. This must be a new record.

@GNR4LIFE its no mystery at all after watching him last week in reserves. He was totally disinterested but he has a chance today to push his claims.
