They said stepping down saying he will tell 9 news exclusively why. I wouldnt mind betting he's been told he's getting pushed aside for Tamou.

Best thing for him and the club. I hope it's amicable and all above board. The writing is on the wall that Mbye is not part of the clubs future, but he is here now and could really help his chances of getting a good contract for either of the 3 current / 1 likely Queensland clubs moving forward.

Well think most fans that support the WT's saw that coming once Tamou was signed. Leadership needed to change on field from a proven performer was a no brainer as Mybe inspired no one with his performances last season.

He still adds utility value and depth whilst still here on contract especially if we don't get Laurie or there are injuries. Another great off season decision WT's.

I think it's good that Mbye is the one to announce this publicly, rather than via a club announcement of Tamou getting the captaincy and Mbye stepping down.

He's been pushed aside, decision was made prior to Christmas.

we all probably assumed that but letting him come out and say he's stepped down allows him to save face. He wasnt much of a captain anyway he didnt seem to have the required qualities. Anyway its on shortly so we will know what the spin is.
