RTS to Rugby
Mbye to Warriors

not that I've heard anything, but it wouldn't be a bad outcome for us.

Would be a terrible outcome for us, we wouldn't have a fullback...

With Laurie now unlikely to come Mbye is really important to us. He is the only player we have who can play fullback (ex AD but he'll be at 6).

Would have been nice to have a back up heading into the season.

I know AD has trained at 6 but maybe if Mmbye goes he needs to go to 1 (God help us) and run with 7 Madden and 6 Brooks or vice versa

No to Doueihi at Fullback.

What about Kepoa,or the other guy at training people say is training well? Can't remember the name.Fullback is crucial for many reasons, especially for the halves,it creates so many more options in attack. The coaching staff must have realised this might happen, and have a plan B.?

We are so light at fullback, I believe Mbye is our only genuine option, we are in trouble if he goes down injured and will have to shuffle someone in who is not a fullback.

Wouldn't surprise me if Tyrone Roberts Davis ends up in the top 30 just as a backup fullback.

What about Gebbie...?

He's not even training with us which is disappointing. Can't exactly promote him if he's not been at the club yet can we

Mbye prepared for Laurie's late push for No.1 jersey

Mbye may have relinquished the captaincy at the Wests Tigers but the former skipper is unlikely to give up the fullback spot as easily after the club's luring of Panthers speedster Daine Laurie.

After training in every backline and halves position last pre-season, Mbye has spent all his time on the training paddock at fullback leading into the side's 2021 campaign, a change that he hopes can bring cohesion to the side's spine.

Adam Doueihi's expected move to five-eighth and the signing of James Roberts in the centres has enabled Mbye to focus more on the No.1 jersey during the summer.

However, the addition of promising talent Laurie, who can play anywhere in the backline will leave Wests Tigers coach Michael Maguire with a final decision to make ahead of round one. Daine is elusive and a strike player that can really upset teams.

Daine maybe a strike player that upsets his own age group or reggies players,BUT,now he has to play against cunning talented NRL fg players, lets see how he upsets them before we substitute him for Mbye...
I hope he is everything they say he is....I would prefer to see how he handles NRL first....just my opinion guys...

IMO unless Mbye is injured or Laurie absolutely dominates in the trial DL should the season start in reserves.

He’ll get his opportunity as the season goes on and there is no need to rush him. I’m also hoping we don’t try and play him at 6 if the club sees him as a 1.
