I didn't like the idea of moving our best player (AD) from 6....

Mbye works better with Brooks.
Doesn't rattle him into his shelf.

What's best for the team....

It’s not a matter of Brooks getting rattled into his shelf, it’s players impeding Brooks ‘ follow through on the way he reads the game. While Doueihi’s running game is what we need, he isn’t the right fit at 6. It’s a football, not an egg to be hatched. Went to ground too many times with a backline set for my liking. I don’t think Mbye is a long term 6 for us, but he has a good passing game and his defence is showing that he is auditioning.

Yeah man,
Mbye was shopping himself a few weeks ago.
He's not the long term anything for us but has provided good service past two weeks.
