STEPHEN Kearney is expected to replace Andrew McFadden as coach of the Warriors.

McFadden could be axed as early tomorrow following the Warriors’ lacklustre season where they failed to qualify the top eight for the second consecutive years under his watch…..........................

Haha the Warriors are forever hunting for excuses for their constant ineptitude. They need to be pointing the finger at their perpetually underperforming playing roster not the coach.

Kearney is a pretty poor coach, they will be looking for yet another scapegoat after he is sacked in 2 years or so.

Kearney has served a good apprenticeship with 1 false start… He deserves a go and might get more out of them being a local legend?

He will need to ensure he has the right coaches around him, but working under Wayne should've shown him how to build a good structure.

Kearney has been coaching some of the squad at the international level since 2008 and doing alright so it probably isn't the worse choice they could've made. McFadden has never been able to get anything out of that squad. While it's true that the players have their issues I think it had become clear that McFadden was not the one who was going to be turning it around. He'd tried the firm hand with basically sacking players (Hurrell) and playing talented players in reggies (Matulino, Lolohea) and it did not improve their performance. The man was fresh out of tricks and nothing was going to change next season.

I think he might be a good acquisition to the warriors…..yes he has failed attempt at parra but he's had time with Bennett and will probably turn the warriors around. One thing in his favour is the roster.

For years we have been told how good the warriors roster is and basically they just underperform. I am not sure on that,I just think they still have not grasped what is required to be a success in the NRL and that is you have to be able to play the grind for long periods before just rolling the dice. I know another club that struggles with the concept also. The game now is about possession and completions

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck hasn't had time to chime in yet with his Season ending injury he had.
