McManus Gets Vacant Wing Spot In Game 3???

Fair dinkum, there are a thousand wingers playing better than him at the moment. Just as well the series is already won! :brick:

Feel very sorry for Richards who is playing so far ahead of McManus at the moment it's laughable. From a selfish perspective I'm glad they overlooked him, we need him here to play about 3 positions for is this weekend.

He's in the same league as Jamie Buhrer, Steve Turner and Anthony Quinn to have pulled on the sky blue jersey

If it were a competitive game you can somewhat understand choosing a player with some experience over a kid like Mansour. However given it's a dead rubber it's the perfect time to baptise a young player or two. As long as the young player is playing well and deserves the spot on merit, there's nothing to lose by giving them a chance!

And with McManus there it's essentially still vacant. Maybe his 1 touch of the ball will be a good one though.

Dead rubber so ratings will be down. Need more Newcastle players in the team to push up ratings. Newcastle and Queensland are the only two areas in Australia that care about origin.

The whole concept has lost relevance.

Spot on, Mansour or the Manly bloke whos name ive forgotten should be there

dumb pick, I'm glad we've got Patty for this weekend, but he does deserve the spot…..........certainly over McManus

Mansour should feel hard done by. Perfect game to blood a youngster. Ridiculous decision at best.

Not Mick O'Connor ??

mansour deserved this chance. he's been killing it all year. next year tupou's form will drop off and they will pick mansour and be thinking if only mansour had more experience.

WTF !?
It's a nation wide success..
Sell out crowd and crazy ratings on TV, so much the AFL want an origin series .

Ridiculous statement.

according to LD he's part of the system

I'm guessing the sewer system

Maybe the list they gave Laurie was upside down

I totally agree

And the reality is that we here in NSW are at LD's mercy - he drags us through the sewer system with him.
how could you not beat the blues?
That's what baffles me.
You were just 2 series away from a DYNASTY.

Unlike KISS.

Mansour has been the form winger all year. I really don't know what else he has to do to make the side. Meanwhile McManus isn't even the best winger in Newcastle most weeks,,,
