Major problem with him is his serious neck injury with which Ahe was sidelined in his last year with the TITANS.
So he came to us with that hanging over him and understandably it’s hard for a forward with that hanging at the back of his mind every time he takes a hit. Hoping this year may be better for him .... it seems his confidence is on an up.

Sure he did well in a hitout game against reggie/youth players... think that summed it up.
If players are signed for another year based on a game of 9’s all rosters would be chucked out.

Said it before, but one of the worst signings in any club's history. He was cooked four years ago.
Titans offered him two years (insanity) for about 300 a year.
For reasons just absolutely unfathomable we offered 400 a year...for three years!...to "convince" him to move his family back to Sydney.
Just an incredibly dumb decision. He seems a nice bloke, so good luck to him. 1.2 million to basically train and stay fit and do 3 hit ups a game in state cup. Cleary? Taylor? Who actually made the decision?
At least his contract ends soon.

I liked his signing at the time. He was starting to show form prior to his injury but has been disappointing for us. It is his last year and hopefully being a contract year will keep those above him honest. Madge let him go from souths so don't think he will be in line for an extra year even with red hot form

Three years was just insanity...we made a massive mistake.
But all clubs do, at least we didn't sign Bryce Cartwright for 3 million 🙂
