Media reports out of Camp Concord

Catch 22 really in this situation as we've released the players but haven't got the signatures as of yet. I still fully expect Blair to sign but as said numerous times, they must be doing a great job keeping the other player talks out of the media to fill up the roster considering our recent exposure of departing players. The juniors we have can step up but it's a tough ask putting in 3-4 rookies in the same team and expecting them to excel immediately.

If the players that were told to negotiate with other clubs couldnt find a club interested they would have been playing for the tigers or they would have been paid out which the club wouldnt like to do.

You would create a conditional contract. One that locked in Blair if we freed up enough of the cap. Maybe put a $10k payment on it for Blair if he waits around and we can't unload the players…

They would have to be bad management if they unloaded players without any assurances.

Who said they havent a conditional contract…..nobody knows....its just speculation if anyone suggest we have or havent.Teams unload players all the time with no guarantees on who they will get to cover the loss.....its not unusual is it.

The club owes us no favours in the way of information But on the same page we don't have to renew our memberships either if we aren't happy with the direction that the club is heading

I'd rather them not say anything until contracts are finalized.

Agree but at least squash the BS stuff That's all we can expect

Thanks for your input….. however unhelpful it may be.

If you could point me to the "quite obvious" spot where I said "cutting players prior to sealing new players is the way to go" that'd be great.

Well….you didnt quite say that....but thats what theyve done.
So....would you agree to this..cutting players before recruiting others?

You said you wouldnt like an announcememnt before its done....I just asked a question in a similar scenario.

Its easy to answer, just as its easy to fart around.

Thats a choice you always have…....i think compare to what some clubs have done we have been professional.
The club could have said nothing and at the end of the year then said you can negotiate with other clubs....now that would be low.

The players have to play and stop trying to run the club or influence decisions and sulk if it doesnt go there way.

I guess the problem with that is that everyone will know that a rumour is true if the club doesn't come out and say it is BS. By saying nothing then they are neither confirming or denying the rumour.

No- they couldnt, they cant do that, get Blair and others and stay undder the cap when most other clubs have finalised rosters.

No thats right so you have to get rid of the players first before buying anyone specially how we have no room in the cap.

Are you expecting the club to announce signings prior to putting pen to paper?

If I owned the Tigers outright and they did that I'd be asking for heads to roll.

But you'd be fine as owner, with cutting players before any new possible recruits put pen to papaer?

We have to unload players… and then see that they can get a club before spending money we dont have.

Ink im not agreeing with you with not letting go of players before buying anymore.

I agreed with you that the EXAMPLE i used letting go of players at the end of the year tigers couldnt do that.

does that clear it up.

So why'd you say the club is professional for NOT doing something they couldnt do anyway?

Dunno why I get involved in these discussions…I really should know better.

Well maybe you take things out of context.

Its ok i was talking about 2 different comments…..Should know better....why be like that your nothing special either.

They could have done it but it would have affected us more then the player in this instance.

Ok maybe i used a bad example.I still dont think the club has been unprofessional which a few are saying.

You just love picking on little errors or PARTS of comments people make.....you do it to yourself.

Yeah but at least we would know if it is a possability or not . I don't care if we miss people You can't get everyone you want . if they at least say we want to pick up a fullback front rower and a goal kicking winger We can then have discussions . The way the club currently handles things is big wigs that are just covering there butts

Maybe you should learn to quote properly so I know what the hell youre on about.
Youre all over the place, you talk about something I was replying to someone else to….
Forget it!!!

Anyway its clear you have no point you agreed you were wrong even though a minute earlier you used it as some evidence the club is professional.

Case closed.
