Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens spoke to the media this morning ahead of the big clash against the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium on Sunday, August 26.

Sheens explained the reason behind shifting full-back Tim Moltzen to five-eighth to partner half-back Benji Marshall. He also said the Roosters are a side that always seems to ‘have the wood on us’.

"Without Robbie Farah there, we needed another kicking option and another ball playing option and Tim fits that bill,'' Sheens said.

"Beau has done a really good job at the back and with Chris Lawrence coming back, it has allowed me to create the backline the best way I thought for this weekend.”

Sheens admitted he met with axed video referee Sean Hampstead yesterday over his decision to award a controversial try to Bulldogs winger Jonathan Wright last Friday night.

Although disappointed over the decision, Sheens said it was time to focus on the Roosters match.

“The explanation about decoys is always going to be a grey area because it comes under the advantage rule,’’ he said.

“The unfortunate thing about a mistake like that is that you have got only two rounds to go. We have had our say and we have got to move on. We have got a big game against the Roosters.”

Wow… but I can't see why it is a good decision now but wasn't earlier in the season ???

Be interesting to see how much Moltzen kicks this week. He has never kicked more than once or twice in general play per game even when playing in the halves.

Too true, however in the past with both Robbie and Benji there he was very much a 3rd play maker, on sunday, he will be second in line and I assume will do a heap more kicking

Hope so, he needs to take some pressure off Marshall.

I like this move, it should have happened a long while ago. Just hope Sheens doesn't put him back to fullback when/if Farah returns.

Simply because Teddy got injured and Moltz was the next best option (or so they thought)

It's a shame they didn't move Moltzen back to the halves after Beau had a couple runs there

i would be pleased if there was a lot of field goal practice at raining this week.

the dying stages of first half, if wests-tigers near the easts tryline and have no chance of scoring, kick a field goal.

Though he came first in missed tackles, equal with Liam who unfairly had a broked wrist.

Sheens is myth perpuated by the media,on the back of a really poor record,he should be thrown out like a week old milk,he is killing this club and they are letting him do it.
