Should still walk. I love LO but these same dicks have done nothing but cockblock the Leagues club development and screw Balmain/Wests every step of the way.

Now Mayer and the board are looking to tell them to punch it up their date and walk they're pissing themselves they'll get stuck with an out of date stadium with no main tenant/attraction to bring people in.

GAGF I say.

Mate I love it when you blow a cork

Hop off the fence will ya

Wasn't the clown heading up Rozelle Village supposed to be selling up? i take it he couldn't offload the property for his preferred sale price.

Anyway I wonder why the club is so adamant about building the new leagues club on that particular site

Since they will just be paying tenants, couldn't they have leased a site somewhere else years ago and had the new club up and running by now?

I suspect part of the agreement with Rozelle Village has locked them into that particular site. Can't think of any other reason why?

Probably my favourite post ever CB - could not say it any better if I tried.

If you can find Darcy Byrne on facebook he has basically said all of that will cost $70k in outgoings per game (including staff/security etc) and he estimates $200k in revenue.

Not sure how much we can use Darcys info now. He ain't in charge anymore. God damn Power sharing agreement with the greens.

I live in the area. Can't believe I share it with so many twats to vote these guys in. On the development - Sure, benny and the developers weren't great, but leichhardt council sure burnt a lot of time and good will.

Liechhardt oval deal sounds ok, but it is being compared to a ground where we get paid to use. The question is, how much is nostalgia worth? I can walk to leichhardt oval, so would LOVE for it to stay, but not to the detriment of the ongoing financial stability of the team I love.

Fingers crossed for good news

I'm not trying to be mean Sabre , but don't hold your breath mate

Have faith.

And if things go the wrong way, I'll be calling for Mayers head on a guillotine.

I'm not GM's biggest fan , but how you can blame him ??

You have Benny , Leichhardt Council and the people that originally put this deal together to blame

This all happened a long time ago , far before GM showing up

Oh dont worry you will get people on this forum blaming him Happy.while claiming Benny and Co as a hero. Its just the inbred brain cells of some of our posters sadly. That wasnt directed at you Sabre.

Hopefully our local member here (Paul Toole) the Minister for local Government, will wipe out most of these Sydney councils.
This might get rid of these Green controlled councils and we might get some descent outcome for the Leagues Club redevelopment.

Only three councils in metro are pro amalgamation, the rest don't want amalgamation. Easy to generalise about local govt without knowing the full picture. Apt that the min for local govt has an appropriate surname

They have just said we will have a board meeting tomorrow night to resolve the Leichhardt 2015 conflict

It is believed from what they just said that we want to honour our 2015 commitment to Leichhardt Oval

What who just said and where?

The Board meeting tomorrow on Leichhardt Oval decision has been slated for 3 weeks….

A third of the way thru the season and we're still having meetings about where we're playing this years games. Any chance we may ever get around to planning for the next 5, 10, or 20 years?
This new board hasn't impressed me yet.
