The whole Melbourne thing irks me still.

The thing I hate is that they always claim like they assembled this side of guys who just happened to come together and they cheated so they could keep the players they developed.

It is a load of crap, Peter O'Sullivan who has made his name as a cheque book recruiter jsut offered the very best juniors more money than everyone else can afford and bought in the likes of Inglis, Hoffman and Cronk who were all huge stars and the best players of their age group.
They than bought in established players like Crocker and Finch on good money.

They cheated to assemble the squad and cheated to keep it.

Given that Cronk had a special clause in his contract to ensure all extras were included in the cap, he obviously assumed something was awry. I guess others did as well.

The Storm and anyone associated with them should just shut up on the topic of contracts or Caps, as they have absolutely no credibility or right to have any say in what system should be adopted,
As a club or individuals they have never shown any regret about what they did, and still believe they they won those pemierships. It's sickening to watch that pair of cheats mouthing off as if they are some sort of authority on this subject.

Well, they should! The small problems with the cap that many teams have had over the years are understandable. But deliberate and systematic rorting is another thing all together. I'd be ashamed if the Tigers were caught doing it.
