Tough side but as we proved in Melbourne, they are beatable with the right attitude and game plan.

Need to try and handle Asofa-Solomona better this time. Last time we played he looked the most threatening.

From memory he made 6 runs for like 40m last time. All of our props outpointed him.

Heard he may be out this week in any case? A cloud over Smith and NAS…?

Nope… maybe you're mixing him up with Packer.

Round 2 stats:
NAS - 106 M, 43 post-contact metres, 4 tackle breaks, 3 offloads, 13 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 error.
Packer - 42 M, 13 post-contact metres, 0 tackle breaks, 25 tackles, 4 missed tackles.
Matulino - 51 M, 16 post-contact metres, 1 try-assist, 1 line-break assist, 2 offloads, 19 tackles.

Stats don't tell whole story.
Packerlino is maxing out teams making Twal and Eisenhuth look super.
Melbourne look rral beatable.

They look weak, if Smith ends up out I give us a massive chance.

Is Cam Smith likely to be out? I've googled but can't seem to find a reason why he would be, apart from the obvious cheating, but that's business as usual for Scam Smith.

Agreed. Our up in your face defence especially by our middle is frustrating teams. They are definately beatable. Especially with chambers and finucine out. Finucine is like our ET. You base your middle third defence around him.

Brought up stats because Balmain Boy thought NAS only made 40 metres when in reality it was Packer who did this and NAS was a handful for us. The stats of 43 post-contact metres, 4 tackle breaks and 3 offloads don't lie either… He is a threat to any side.

Mind you, Twal and Eisenhuth don't need Packerlino to look good. They were both killing it last season already, especially Twal.

I hope Felise Kaufusi misses this game

Easily their best backrower , runs some great lines and create a lot of options for Smith and Slater

Is Finucane's suspension served while he is injured, or does he have to first get clearance to play then serve his suspension?

You serve a suspension even if you are injured…it doesn't start when you are fit to play..

Finucane out
Chambers out
Smith has a quad strain
Nelson solomona has a groin strain.

They look out of sorts.
I'm worried still.

But I think if we can just continue the solid defense, D up on Nelson and apply the blowtorch to young Croft would be my plan and we should come away with the 2 points again.

Well judging by the last few games last week and tonight’s game, the refs have buckled to the pressure of Johns, Gould, Slothfield etc and are backing off on policing the ruck and the 10m. So you can expect a Melbourne to be all over the ruck and standing offside all day, making them harder to beat. Oh and I suppose King Cam will get away with Murder again…........everything back to normal. As I posted earlier to those bagging the refs - be careful what you wish for!!!!!
