Melbourne was certainly punished for cheating

I’ve mentioned in a previous thread, that the NRL had no problem subtracting all Melbourne‘s points that season, and taking a grand final win off them, because Melbourne cheated the salary cap, however when the NRL as a body cheats you, you have no recourse.

Not sure of your point ...

Two different situations...
Yes they are two different cases, i get that, however what I’m trying to say is that the NRL seem to hold all the cards, coaches can’t comment on bad decisions, even a former referee has come out and said that this is a smother job by the NRL - in a perfect world the NRL should have reversed the result to a win to the Tigers. This situation has created a grey area now for the NRL- I think there should be a process in place to reverse a decision ,which was an absolute Howler, it definitely wasn’t the rub of the green, it was a blatantly wrong decision, that didn’t follow the framework of the Games rules ,and the bunker,s decision-making

They can't reverse it will cause to many problems in the long run... it is what it is and it won't go to Court

Try telling that to team if it happened in the grand final.
This has opened Pandora’s box, it’s going to take captains challenges to another level. A precedent has now happened, unless they change the rules now.

What's good for the goose hey?

That loss on the weekend could be the difference wooden spoon & second last.

It matters.
That’s a good point, I didn’t even think of wooden spoon contention, like the journo Andrew Webster said - teams will be running escorts in the dying seconds of games to get a result - hypothetical but it could happen.

The Dale Finucane head clash has set a precedent, suspended for 2 weeks for a accident.
Now the rules have changed, it would be the same if the outcome of a game was reversed.
Every new thing that happens sets a precedent, whether on the football field or in life general.

Not could happen, it will happen, perfect for any golden point game, or for that matter any game with only 1 or 2 points difference leading up to full time, the presidents been set.

They could do it on every kickoff and get the decision, and prob every bomb that is put up , teams should certainly test the refs now that they set a precedent

We have more chance that the NRL lets us play with 25 players on the field for the rest of the year then getting the 2 points
