MEMO to L.Daley

Fellas, Bellamy PICKS THE SIDE.

Daley is a muppet….......but it's BELLAMY who chose Ennis.

From what I've heard Bellamy was pissed off at Farah after game 2 because Farah's injury was a lot worse than he was letting on.

The way J Mo is carving the Rorters it should be him….

You don't think Farah's defense is Origin Standard?

His work rate is, but his physicality isnt. I agree with Smeg, Farah doesnt dominate in defense and usually gets dragged a bit before completing the tackle. NSW need someone who will hit like Buderus but provide more spark, i believe Gidley can do this.

Honestly, there's no hooker in the league who doesn't get driven back at the moment except maybe the muscleman J Mo himself. Even Smith, Ballin, Friend, all get pushed back and they're up there with the best.

Regardless, putting Farah out of origin because of his defense is just plain stupid, since he's the best defensive hooker we have atm.

Gidley has nothing at all. He is without question the most overrated player in the comp.

I don't rate the bloke at fullback or in the halves when it comes to rep football, he does look sharp out of dummyhalf though and that's the only place he should play if he's going to play rep football, and even then I'd rather Farah in there. Gidley is a jack of all trades but master of none.

ennis averages 4 missed tackles and 3 ineffective tackles a game, if thats the stuff a SOO hooker is made of then ill give it up, he offers diddly squat in attack but i guess being involved in winning a dead rubber game makes you the man.

my origin team would be

hayne
b morris
jennings
lyon
lawrence

barrett
pearce

weyman
farah
snowden

gallen
watmough
bird

waterhouse
white
perry
gidley/luke lewis

Yeah, perhaps instead of picking "built for origin" players, how about they pick the best available team with the best players playin in their right positions.

Because that would actually make sense.

'Built for Origin' is a load of crap the selectors use to try and justify them picking favourites like Ennis.

What constitutes someone as "Built for origin?"

Brandy said it again last night… and I was wondering the same thing. I don't know how you can get a reputation for something you haven't really done yet.

I think we almost all agree that Farah is a superior footballer to Ennis in almost every aspect of the position.

What I want to know is how Farah comes in for so much criticism when we lost, yet Ennis has not. E.g. Farah set up 2 or 3 tries in his two games, made a few mistakes to balance, but he with Wallace and Campese get culled for poor performances.

Ennis seems to just play average and in this way fly under the radar. People remember a bad knock on (which is clearly not an indication of overall skill), but tend to overlook 6 missed tackles or a paltry 35m gained.

Somehow Kimmorley has his Origin reputation back, despite having some absolute shockers last time he played (b4 2009).

In my personal opinion Ennis and Kimmorley won't do much wrong if selected again... problem is they won't do much of anything at all and that is inadequate for Origin. You can't be throwing the ball to your winger and saying "hey create something amazing dude". You need blokes who can step up and build attacking play, not the kick lottery that game 1 was.

x2 This Origin series was gone the day he was given the job of Captain. He's not the best fullback we have, he's not the best half we have and he's not the best hooker we have but the by picking him as captain they have assured him a spot in a team that he should not even have made, except maybe as a bench utility role.

My fear is that Farah and Lawrence are brought into the side for a dead rubber back in Sydney after they decide to 'make changes' what a waste for us.

I'm not sure, he wasn't good but he wasn't even close to worst in the side. And he played pretty badly hurt (Shouldn't have played at all IMO). David Williams was probably the worst in the side that night and he kept his spot so who knows? 😕

Ennis did nothing in the last game and he will do nothing in the next one, he has no creativity at all.

The double standards of Daley is confounding.

Ennis is "Origin Tough"

Yet he selects and talks up Ben Creagh who has zero grit and ran away from a fight after slapping Justin Hodges (Hodges has been beaten up by all and sundry)

we wont win a series with kimmorly and ennis in the team, NSW need to score points to win and 3 tries they scored in game one came off QLD errors only one was off structured play.

the whole team needs revamping QLD gambled with the likes of hunt inglis folau boyd hodges over the last 5 years and they are reaping the rewards its time NSW do the same our backline should consist of the likes of

J morris
B morris
Jennings
Lawrence
Hayne

youth speed power and plenty of points throw pearce and farah in the mix and we have potency there, NSW picked a team that was supposed to be mainly defensively minded and got 28 put on them in horrible conditions, they have to fight fire with fire, bugger off tahu and cooper they offer squat bugger off idris he was out of his depth and got found out defensively and is to much of a liability

bring in some big young props like snowden select gallen and bird and we should be sweet, the NSW selectors have no idea, we picked 4 centres 2 fullbacks and 1 winger in a 17 man team

They say Rugby League is a game of inches and i believe the smallest of margins has cost Farah. In game one last year he was clearly NSW best kicking option and only creative player. He put Hayne away down the sideline and Hayne was ruled to have gone out by the smallest of margins. If that try is allowed, we may well go on to win and Farah gets MOM.

That would be a pretty good backline. I dont think you will see Lawrence there, but its pretty handy and will score plenty of points.

Peter O'Sullivan is still pretty close to Bellamy, so Pearce will be there for sure. With Pearce there, I feel Farah is a better fit at 9 and think he has done enough in the past 3 weeks to justify selection over Ennis. The rest of the backline will be decided on where they choose to play Gidley, but Jennings has got to be there…

Good Luck guys, I hope you get your team...

Farah was clearly playing injured last year in SOO,but even taking that into account he makes too many howlers…partly because he takes riskes that other no 9s dont.Id love to see him with a full series under Bellamy.
Conservative NSW selection philosophy is always go for the safe option,& if you still cant decide go for the heaviest option.Sorry Robbie..
Thats why were about to go 0/5

I know i have no support on this, but i truly believe the best "origin" hooker for NSW is Gidley. The guy is regarded as the fittest in the comp, and everytime he's played hooker at rep level for NSW or Australia he's done very well. He'd be great around the ruck against QLD.

Gidley is normally pretty good at dummy half. Maybe they could start with Gidley in the 9, then bring Farah on around the 25th minute.

as Daley would say *Ennis is a SOO player he just has that mungrle in him* oh and ha sthe combination with Kimmorley …. that is why we have lost 4 series in a row and about to be 5 because of Daley

I have never understood that whole 'built for origin B.S…and if anything the type of player you want in origin is somebody who is creative and very skillful of which Ennis is neither and Farah is both. But like I said theres no such thing as being 'made for stat of origin' all that matters is your are in the top 17 players for your state....thats it!

and that is exactly why NSW are going to lose 5 in a row.. Soward and Orford are 2 people that come to mind of players that they have ignored why you say??? becasue they think they arn't origin players.. so in the end we recycle thease old washed up players like Barrett Cooper Kimmorley Tahu etc who just continue to fail

and when we do put a kid in their he has to be *big* hence Idris on the bench

Gidley should not be near a NSW team!!! The guy is a myth or at best way past his past. Where is Bird (or Campese, Soward, Sutton), Dugan (injured today), Farah & Carney. If we dont add some fire and spark the blues will be flogged … and its getting pathetic.
