A sub-committee has been formed which will lead the process of selection and appointment. This process will commence immediately."

I hope the sub-committee is ready to be lobbied by The Parrott for his mate Matt Parish. I also hope they tell AJ, "thanks, but no thanks". Anyone but Matt Parish will suffice.

Humphreys sub-committee I have taken fiveblack and gold puppets from my drawer and i will have my fist up everyone of them. They will say yes stephen no stephen Matt parish is coach Stephen.

It's clear what your agenda is. I can see you fitting in well around here, albeit briefly.

Why the agenda conspiracy theorist mentality.I think as someone who has played first grade for balmain and supported them for over 50 years Im entitled to an opinion despite your feeble attempt to deny me this right. How many first grade games have you played for Balmain tough guy.Why are you so quick to make such threatening remarks towards me from the safety of your computer,Albeit briefly. We just had this chat on the balmain bug thread which you decided to close in gestapo like fashion when people had the audacity to question the numerous incidents where balmain bug was treated poorly and now your making the "perceived" executive decision on what I can and cant say.You dont get it,just like bug used to I say something you dont agree with and you go all keyboard commando from the safety of your apparent North Shore abode.P.S Not many pussies play first grade pal.

It's not hard to read between the lines re Ryan and Heighington. "Great regret" about Heighington, "surprise" about Ryan. Basically what they're telling you is that they were happy to ship out Heighington and glad he got a good offer elsewhere. The implication is that Ryan spat the dummy. And, to be honest, I'm happy to accept that.

I'm not a huge Humphreys fan as it happens. But I'm also not going to cry myself to sleep over Ryan's departure. It would be lovely to think that every player is equal in the eyes of God, Allah and the needs of the Wests Tigers first grade side. But the fact is that mediocre footballers shouldn't get to decide who they play with. Good luck at the Sharks, Beau, but to me you are now on a par with John Morris or Luke Covell: just a player, elsewhere.

May I ask what your name is? I respect anyone who has played first grade for Balmain, but as I'm sure you can understand, some people may be sceptical unless they were put straight by you revealing who you are.

So much confusion, so many conflicting storys, supporters in the dark….Humphreys recruitment &retention skills leave a lot to be desired, too much politics and it appears - lies.
So many players now....its becoming regular and a pattern forming.

Beau says he tried three occasions to get documents to put pen to.
Humphreys saying hes dispponted Ryans gone. But hes been there before with Moltzen, Gibbs Fafita, Heighno

Please...dont treat us like fools!!!
All this and asking me for money in the same week???
LMAO!

Unbelievable

Why because they didnt respond to media speculation until a considered decision had been made. In a week the last 5 days will be water under the bridge.

Contradict statement made last thur night. Poor contract handling and too much fluffing around the words

It didnt contradict any statement. I dont understand your comment about poor contract handling. The club told CWH that his contract would not be extended. CWH decided to leave for a three year deal. The club agreed to release him on the basis he was surplus to requirements.

Beau was wanted by the club but decided he would go with his mate. Club perhaps could have got him signed up earlier but obviously they felt there other fish to fry first. Not completely unwarranted and its not like we have lost Lawrence or Marshall. Its Beau Ryan FFS.

Can I put the record straight on Beau Ryan;

Was not offered a written contract to sign as the WT had salary cap issues that needed to be resolved **FIRST**.

Beau was offered the contract to sign but **turned it down** as he had given the Sharks a verbal commitment.

You see a signed contract **MUST** be lodged with the NRL **within 2 weeks** of it being signed. Due to the Salary Cap issues the Tigers couldn’t offer Beau this until it was announced Rhino would be leaving..

Totally contradicted by Humphreys this morning. Said the same offer they had always offered was available to Ryan when he signed with Cronulla

Sacking a coach and if your conspiracy theories are to be believed (I dont) sacking two players isnt action enough for you?

Interesting no one has mentioned the fact Sheens wasn't at the Presser. Would have thought that would have been a talking point. Was he too proud for that?

Who would front the press in those circumstances.

He has been in all intensive purposes sacked, no one should have to front questions in that situation.

He is all likelyhood thinks he can still do the job, and would be disapointed without doubt, what we be gained by him being paraded in front of the cameras for that.

I thought the letter was excellent.

As for people suggesting we should have someone lined up before we sack the current coach, how does that go, when the media see a bunch of coaches rocking up to club concord yet the current coach is in place still.

Id much rather them take time to assess options interview candidates and announce in a week or 2 when they feel they have made a sensible decision.

I take a couple weeks to decide on an admin person when I employ someone, a position of this importance should be filled with great due diligence.

I think there are people who are unhappy regardless of what happens, i think in many cases people want us to fail to say I told you so….

The coach has been moved, not sacked…hes still here, no action
We have no new coach - no action
Heighno was off contract, he walked....action from Heighno
Ryan wanted to saty, asked three times for a pen - Humpty - no action, let him go despite ''wanting him to stay'' LOL
Farah, talks commence - Farahs manager - no they havent - no action.

Humphreys must sit in his office twiddling his thumbs, he seems to do sfa, except maybe researching feng shui

Calm down INK, this is a discussion forum about our loved club, its for discussion. Dont tell me to shut up. It sort of shortens each thread.

you asked me to "put up" regarding your conspiracy theories and then you thoughtfully list them for me.

1\. The coach has been moved, not sacked…hes still here, no action - C'mon Ink, you are not that stupid, you know the truth here but it doesnt fit your theory. Sheens has $900,000 to go on his contract. If he leaves of his own, he doesnt get it.

2\. We have no new coach - no action -Ink the coach was "moved" yesterday.
3\. Heighno was off contract, he walked....action from Heighno....nope he was offered a new contract but it was neither the "money or tenure" that he wanted. read that as he was offered 1 year, wanted three, Cronulla offered three years on more money. (source Humphreys on BSB this morning)How is that Humphreys fault? For mine its strong action in not letting sentimentality impair sound judgement.
4.Ryan wanted to saty, asked three times for a pen - Humpty - no action, let him go despite ''wanting him to stay'' - The offer has been sitting there for 10 weeks available for Ryan to accept and remains unchanged was still available to Ryan when he chose to sign with Cronulla for more money (source Humphreys BSB this morning).
5\. Farah - This morning Humphreys simply stated that a player of Robbies stature has the right to try and maximise his contract and he looks forward to trying to keep him at the club. He said that they are starting from a good base as Robbie loves the club and the club loves Robbie. Tellingly Humphreys stated that Farah is the most important player in the club to retain (code not Marshall).

I find it amazing that Beau Ryan's word apparently is gospel and Humphreys must be a liar. To be perfectly honest I don't know what happened but I'm more inclined to believe what appeared in a press release issued by a CEO and I'm yet to see anyone contradict what was in that release. I'm happy to be corrected if that is not true.

Yeh, me too.
If it were a one off occasion, Id tend to agree.
But we all know and have seen this same rubbish from Humphreys numerous times before
A few days ago the had an ''agreement in principle''….now apparently its an offer been on the table for the last 10 weeks.
Why does he keep changing his words?
Why does everyone he deals with seem to com out looking either like theyre lying, or Humphreys is lying...why is there always this carryings on, this deceit....its a common them with Stephen Humphreys...and people arc up when they mention his dad...LOL

@Alf Duguid said:
Call me cynical but I think Humpty was merely reacting to the avalanche of criticism the club has received in past weeks. He is trying to cover his own backside for sure.

Could be, but I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing. A CEO actually personally addressing the members and explaining the contract issues is decent if you ask me. It may have been a messy couple of weeks but to hear a response atleast sheds a little light on the matter, and the management of this club.
