OFFICIAL Michael Chee Kam #194

Cleary would be mad not to leave MCK on the bench even when ET returns. He has had good impact. As Tacky said, take the extra hooker off the bench, Taylor can fill dummy half if Liddle still isn't up to playing 80 minutes.

Welcome to the new members: underdog, rex2ce, teddy23, Tigerdon and willow.

And Geo, I've reserved a special place for you in the club, when you eventually come round and start seeing the BEAST for what he truly is.

Be interesting when Taylor is fit where that places Chee-Kam…?

ET will go back to the 13 and Eisenhuth will go into the prop rotation on the bench. There will still be a spot on the bench for a 2nd rower, so he'll have to duke it out with Aloiai. He has the advantage of being able to play in the centres, but he'll have to show he can match it as an impact player.

That the coach shifted Lawrence to centre the other week may give an indication that he sees MCK as a back rower.

Please sign me up to the MCK Fan Club.

Off the bench late in the game his athleticism is enormous for us. The try vs Broncos and hit ups vs Parra can only benefit us thru the season. He is our Tyrone Peachy or Valentine Holmes!

You're in.

Anyone else?

What about the Twuth fan club

Twal/Huth fan club …...

You're not allowed in until you can accept the BEAST.

VERY HAPPY with MCK …..count me in Tack...

MCK will not likely get the nod over Aloiai.

I honestly haven't been very impressed with Aloiai so far. He's a great player for us, but his form to start the season hasn't been spectacular.

How does a bloke playing off the bench become a beast :unamused:

Bah humbug

Thomas Mikaele is the one and only BEAST at this club

He's coming back from injury. He's still running hard but his output isn't horrible either.

Take your first point and agree.

Second point not so much - Packer is the only BEAST by a country mile.

To call MCK a beast over Packer is absolutely ludicrous. Lol

MCK has greater energy and involvment. Aloiai does more bruising runs.
The style we are playing with numbers everywhere and our excellent scrabble MCK is an important part of that.
Parkerlino, Rochow, Hooth, Twal are undroppable.
These four MCK, Lawrence, ET, Aloiai are competing three spots if we have a utility or second DH on the bench.

Rowdy and ET are not negotiable imo.

That leaves Aloiai and a bench beast to fight it out.

How does a bloke become a beast when he hasn't even played first grade?

In my opinion MCK has benefited from Cleary's coaching style.

He has a couple of off seasons with the NRL squad.

He was a highly skillful junior who made the Australian Schoolboy team but sometimes junior stars do not always transit into NRL stars (i.e Owen Craig)

At 26 years with 35 NRL games experience MCK appears to have found his niche as an impact second row player. He was a makeshift centre for most of last year.

I love the energy he brings from the bench and highly involved.

I wish some of our player trial he cause he does break the line and provides second faze options which are not being taken.

He could actually be used for longer minutes but I have complete faith in Cleary and his management of the bench,
