@happy_tiger Ahahahaha, rather him than big Rom

Rom loves playing against us averaged over a goal a game

Bit like Gasnier and the WT's

He's the Chicharito of the NRL.

Not for WHAM he wasn't lol

Love how he doesn't drop an ounce of speed when he steps

But it's a killer step though , we have to at least try and turn him into a centre fulltime

You have no right after bagging him relentlessly for 3 years...

I don't think Chee-Kam will ever be an 80min player in the forwards or backs ..it takes away his effectiveness...his greatest moments have always come coming off the bench every time..that is his spot..lock it in eddie..

Been saying for 18 months we should try and turn him into a centre and if it doesn't work cut him loose

If he is happy to be a bench player and we can't find anyone better for the same money , keep him

Impact bench player is his position. He dosent seem to have the patience and discipline to play 80 mins but in 1-2 short 10 min bursts can make good impact

@Jessica I used to love Marsters, and I still do but I've been watching him closely lately and all he seems to do is scoop it up at dummy half and jink around. He's lost impact for me tbh

I am certainly eating humble pie for breakfast ...I thought he had a good game last start but that effort last night WTF ! won us 2 games now on individual effort .. well done and certainly has earned his new contract . Keep it up 👍

All the boys who re-signed recently all had good games last night. Cheeks, Thommo and Mikaele.

Feel free to keep it up lads!

@TigersBusDriver mee too TigBus, have been paying close attentions for all of the above reasons and I noticed he isn’t running many preset lines like last yr which might’ve helped

This guy is kinda useless generally but pops up and scores at the most important moments.

Don’t know what to make of him.

I think this quite well sums up M Chee-Kam

He's not useless, he's a good bench player who can create a line break with his footwork and offload, has decent enough pace and agility for his size too.
We don't use him properly he needs support when he comes on because he has the ability to create half chances.
He did it with his first 2 touches last night but had nobody pushing up with him.

I like him and garlic sauce off the bench they add something when they come on.

MCK can destroy games both for us and the opposition. Has all the physical tools getting better under Madge.

@Spud_Murphy
Both Mbye and masters are taller then 5.8 Mbye is 180cm and masters is 185😂

Yeah they probably are, but they don't look it aye?

MCK reminds me so much of Anthony "The Don" Don, just a constant battler who always tries hard and sometimes does amazingly great things, then goes back to battling through a match.

I agree with others that I don't know if Cheeky can ever be a starting 80 min second rower of note, because his real strength is the power and speed he can bring on the edge late in the game. He defends well enough and can cover centres etc., but when he does that he becomes tired, error-prone and sort of shuffles around the field trying to hold his defensive line.

I was at the match and frankly I thought Cheeky was half-way to making a line break 3 or 4 times on the left; he really troubled the Rabbits right esp Reynolds and had a few of those trademark piggyback carries, where he's walking forward stiff-legged with 2 blokes hanging off his back.

What I particularly liked is that against Broncos has was basically forced into a run because he looked left and right and saw ZERO options. Last night he didn't look out left, he must have immediately decided to show and go, because he was off even before he'd totally sold the dummy.

Honestly, bad fullback work to not pick Cheeky up at all in the run and I think Allan was preoccupied with Mbye coming down the left, though Mbye was a fair way off the pace. I don't think that Cheeky really had any design on passing at all, he seemed intent to put 100% effort in reaching the tryline alone.

But you've gotta love a battler who really can unpredictably turn a match.

Let us also be mindful that MCK hasn't just single-handedly won us 2/7 matches this year, he's also scored 5 tries in 12 games, with all bar 2 of those games off the bench.

@TigersBusDriver
marsters is incredibly lackluster atm and it infuriating to watch. the stupid little jinx he does right before he runs into the defense is so annoying. JUST RUN HARD AND STRAIGHT ffs

him and Nofo are next to useless. all they do is run sideways, and they have as much punch in attack as a wet towel

I’m probably not as frustrated as you sound @Zach but I agree with the sentiment with Marsters. Never tries to accelerate around the outside, or accelerate through a gap. Always stop start and step inside

Was going to upvote this post until Nofa got dragged into Marsters poor decision making and lack of direction. If Marsters ran straight and hard and used the offload we know he has, he would create so much opportunity for those around him.

@Spud_Murphy that’s correct Spud, but what if Marsters keeps jinking instead of running straight lol??? Won’t end up anywhere

He'll end up like Heighno. Jinker extraordinaire!
