Talk of Noddy being first in line to me is concerning. Okay he has been around and involved in football since he retired and done some coaching, but he has not coached at NRL level.

Its not like he is walking into a team full of super stars. Our team is under manned and under skilled..also mentally weak. Ok throw Noddy in for the remainder of the season while we search high and low for a new coach but personally I would get someone now like Morris or Flanno

Noddy is experienced with working with young men.

These guys all have young men mentality.

It could work wonders.

Morris or Flanno are the go though.

I knew this season was going to be a tough one before it started but i think it's going to be even tougher than expected. This is the most passive club to ever play in the NRL. Followers........so far behind everyone else it isn't funny. Not surprising the footy team is hopeless. No leaders at the top, no leaders capable of making a competent decision in the middle ( the coach) and 5 would be if they could be leaders on the field. I mean seriously, picking a winger as captain?? and a winger that is as quite as a church mouse at that. Another player before the game stating he didn't know what his role was going to be 🤣

Wests Tigers...........living proof that in todays society, everybody gets a prize.

Oh yeah and as for Madge.......punt him!!!!

Mate don’t know Noddy personally and have heard he is a good guy and probably would have as much chance as success as anyone. I just don’t want a care taker situation. Who ever they pick, if they do move Madge on, must be with a view of a long term job.

A long with a new coach we need a extensive roster over haul and that is not easy. Moving on good players who are under contract is easy, moving underperforming players who are under contract is near impossible. Of course pathways is our only way, but with out quality mentors it will not work.

very long road ahead

Mate, might be your Hunter Bias talking there....
Noddy has literally done absolutely nothing coaching wise at various levels

You want to throw him in at the highest level, With the worst club...
as some sort of.... Experiment?
(He's got a family man)

If we need a new coach, We need to start chasing with the best available and finish somewhere probably a little below.
From my knowledge - Noddy hasn't been coaching at any level for a few years...
A day or 2 a week helping the halves isn't what I'd consider a career coach.

Haha, I rate Noddy...

As I said tho, Morris or Flanno are the more ideal options.

Even Gardiner, before Noddy.

Credit where it's due though, Noddy has a lot to offer our club.

Lovely guy...
He's been here twice now - I haven't seen anything at NRL level....

Think I've mentioned before, I had a conversation with Brett Kimmorley and he's got a high IQ football mind...

He may not be ready to be a head coach but he could be a very integral part of a brains trust, rescuing this club from the drain.

I'll tell you something for free....
Jason Taylor has a high Footy IQ also.

Long way between having it and it working (Especially at our club)

Pascoe better be sliding those fingers along the abacus this morning working out the payout figure for Maguire.

The one tip off I received from a work colleague over 3 years ago that Maguire had signed that day was correct. The other tip from the same colleague that Maguire did not suit the WTs' style of play was also correct. The colleague had been involved with coaching and scouting at another club and if he could see it, why couldn't our Board? Just like the Board when it melted rather than sacking him last year. It may have cost us, but what is the cost now of retaining him and becoming the laughing stock of the NRL.

Why would the payout have been different from last year to this one? If anything, it's probably less?
