Mick Potter Era

Mick Potter has started building the team how he wants it and has done a great job so far. Re-signing Robbie Farah and Liam Fulton along with the signing of Pat RIchards. Good work so far and hoping for more good signings.

He's slowly putting together a Premiership winning side. Too bad that side won it in 2005!

has done the same as sheens, signing old men, we dont need 32 year old wingers we need 22 year old big forwards, if this is his signing he has LOST me.

Of course it is the same It's the same guy advising Potter that was advising Sheens on recruitment.
How would anything change ?

How can you judge someone on one signing. More than likely next year we lose sadly Lote and Matt Utai who depsite everyone banging on about their age and how they are past it are hugely influential with the young players. Pat brings with him experience.

We don't know what other signings are to come and for those slagging off Sheens yes it was 9 years ago but he did win us a comp. Winning teams need the right mix of experience, age and youth as we had in 05\. He will help out Teddy and give us some options for wing, FB and Centre. Despite the playing group we have to treat 2012 as year zero and work from there. We are not going t win the comp this year and unlikley next but it's about letting Mick Potter build the team he needs and wants. Success does not come over night.

Come on down Pat 7 years wiser. I reckon his still got a lot to offer and his the size of another forward. Smart buy as long as we didn't pay overs

Liam Fulton should not have been resigned , all he is a tackling machine we need forwards who can tackle and break the defensive line , Robbie very important to re sign a player of his calibre as for Pat Richards I have mixed feelings about this as I have read on these forums about some of our younger players coming through , I know one thing that means Utai and Lote are gone which is good , but it makes it interesting what will happen with Moltzen,Teddy,Ayshford and Lawrence some big decisions need to be made.

Simple, if Moltzen,Teddy,Ayshford and Lawrence don't fire over the remainder of the season they are on their way out. If this doesn't stir them up nothing else will take thhem out of 2013 slumber.

How are they on their way out all have been signed long term.

Now Pat Richards and resigning Liam Fulton during the Potter era doesn't look much different from Sheens. Our recruitment department needs an overhaul asap.

I thought Moltzen (Benji's mate) , Ayshford and Lawrence had something on Sheens..but no , they have something on Wests Tigers..like Blair..never to play 2nds.

Also he wanted to come home for personal reasons is my understanding so we won't be paying massive. We also have a 20 yr old fullback and a 20 yr old on the other wing next year -you need so me experience and he has experience and has been and still is the best back in super league, a try scorer, a leader, an amazing goal kicker.

Awesome signing and for those saying we need a prop -well you have to fill a whole side and I'm sure this wont be the last signing

His starting to bulid our team give it time there will be more signings on there way just give it time who thought we were signing a winger today no one so will see who will be our next target now.

Look how tough it was to get rid of Sheens..we got rid of Simmons ,,but he got back in ( Sheens ) ..so McDonnell is dug in pretty tight and will be hard to budge.

My statement should have singled out Lawrence and Ashyford. They have been looking like reserve graders.

Ayshford is looking like one of the best centers this year….

Spot on!!!!

We have plenty of very good forwards. We just need to get them fit and stay fit.

I would bet a few bob that some of the people on this forum who are bagging Richards have never seen him play, either here or in England.

Lol i can't find the words to describe how ridiculous it is that you'd include Tedesco in that list
