Interesting little piece up on the Tigers site with some basic stats from our players this year, pretty menial numbers without a wider context but it seems to confirm the thoughts of many in the vast improvement of Bodene and Blair this year, along with Woodsy and Robbie being our pillars. Edited for ease of reading, link for any interested.

I think the other interesting stat is the meters made per run by the forwards
KAPOW and Gavet and Woods all over 10 m per carry with Marty making about 27% more distance each run than the others
Reinforces how good the two new buys have been for us

Haha. These stats are a joke.

Teddy and Robbie have only made one hit up all season?? Yeah, these stats are accurate! lol If they can't get basic stats right what hope have we got??

Hey mate, I'm not sure, but I don't think DH runs and kick returns are necessarily counted as hit-ups by hardcore statisticians. I've seen sites before where DH runs are separate, and I think Teddy getting the ball in back line movement and then getting tackled before he can ball play also isn't a hit-up. The more useful thing is probably the running metres, and you should also be able to count "all runs" but that info isn't provided.

It could also very well be a typo, but I think the way hit-up is defined is the problem. I'm also pretty sure NRL stats and fox sports stats would differ in their definition too.
