Rumour going back around Hull FC again, that Jacob Miller is Hull bound for 2014\. can anyone shell any light.

wouldn't surprise me - If a nuffie like Rhys Hanbury can kill it over there, then Miller will positively MURDER it.

Rhys Hanbury is far from killing it, he has just been moved from the halvess to full back at Widnes. And thats with the shortage of half backs we have in super league. The Papers here are saying Miller has had a dummy spit with Potter, due to being dropped for Anasta.

As of end of last year Potter stated Miller was going no-where, and he had plans for Miller. He started this year along side Marshall. Any one know what happened?

No, but I can shell a few prawns for you if you like

lol i take it you have too much time on your hands

miller failed to make the most if his NRL opportunity in 2013

Luke Brooks is looking more and more like a champion , and I'd say he will be and NRL player in 2014

The way miller has played this year , along with the emergence of Brooks , means its unlikely Miller will be offered a deal for 2014

At the same time Peter Gentle has stepped up his bid to get miller to Hull , I think gentle is going to get his way and miller will be with Hull in 2014

Hopefully miller will come to Hull, the shortage of halves in the super league is a big problem at the moment. especially with the salary cap in the NRL to big for super league clubs to compete for signatures of quality established halves. From what i have seen of Miller he has quality but is still raw. Hopefully Gentle can give him a chance and turns out to be a gem in super league.

Well I guess with the way Sezer and Kelly are going up at the Titans any hope of him going home are fast diminuishing so Hull could be a distinct possability

Yes, he didn't take control of the team,
He also didn't take on the line enough to square up defenders.
Potter said that this was the reason for Anasta coming in.
And he was dropped to work on it in prems

He's young and has a fair bit to learn, Gentle obviously believes he got it and with a bit of time and experience he will come good. Any possibilities of him being signed up by another NRL club?

It was always going to be interesting to see how Miller reacted to being dropped. I was hoping he would take on board what Potter wanted from him and work his backside off in order to improve his game. Unfortunately, if what has been reported is true and he did have a dummy spit, then that is very disappointing. Jacob may well need some time in Super league to improve his game away from the pressures of the NRL but still playing at a high level, if he isn't prepared to do the work in NSW Cup. It's a shame but if he believes he's too good for NSW Cup then I see no other option for him.

And Anasta ticked none of these boxes either, time for Brooks or Moltzen to have a go.

Agreed, as neither have stepped up enough for our demand on halfback. However Anasta controlled the game a lot better than Miller and offers the superiority for younger players to develop.

Would not be surprised if Miller made a move, he's acknowledged his career in NRL is heading nowhere with the Tigers. Might as well start looking elsewhere.

miller has been very frustrating , in NYC he was great
dominant , a strong organizer , creative , a good footy head

Last year I thought if he can reproduce Half of the ability he has shown in NYC , in the NRL Wests will be in good stead ,

Alas he was a passenger , rarely taking any initiative or control , just the occasional kick or hand off to forward ….

I hope he can rediscover his NYC form ...

Not about form. It's about stepping up to another level. Which it does not look like he can.

I found his play so predictable i knew what option he was going to take on the 5th in next weeks game.

he was just way to easy to read.

To me Miller is looking a lot like Jake Mullany struggling over at the eels…U20s superstar who is just too small to make it in the big boys game.
Im really surprised Miller didnt do a Koriobete in the offseason & bulk himself up a little, particularly knowing he was playing alongside Benji & that the pair of them defending in the backline together was always going to be an unmitigated disaster
Pottter has given him a good run(which made total sense) & he didnt show anything in attack & was a predictable liability in defence...unless he can tear the State Cup apart & force his way back in to a very depleted 1st grade halves combo,im afraid the signs from Potter are very clear & its au revoir

I like Miller and have alot of time for him if he is prepared to do the hard work… He hasnt been given a fair go, but it looks like the time he was given has come to an end.

Jacob should work really hard on areas of his game as directed by Potter... If he thinks he is above that, he can go and play bludger at another club.

Put in Jacob, or bugger off!

Not every player makes a seamless transition to first grade like DCE. Plenty of good halfbacks took their time and went up/down between grades a few times.

Maybe Miller won't get there in time for us, but I think he will carve a good career out elsewhere.
