Mitch Brown and Junior Moors unlucky

In my opinion Mitch Brown has been very good in his last 2 games at full back especially against Penrith. I know we bought McKinnon to play full back but Brown has not been really given a good chance by Sheens to cement a permanent spot in any position. He is strongly built and appears to read the game well at full back. Only concern he needs more pace but then again McKinnon appears to have lost a bit of pace over the years. I would start with Brown and have McKinnon come off the bench. I don't know what Moors has done to not be on the bench. I know he is injured at the moment. Prior to being dropped he was bending the line and giving us impact from the bench. Hopefully we resign him for next year.

I agree mate. I have to say, the only thing that stands out to me about McKinnon over Brown is his support play. He is constantly sniffing around and I think that's important having that type of fullback with Benji hop, skipping and jumping all over the place. Someone needs to be behind the line and run support for him.

Mitch hasn't been bad at all at this, but Wade has been better in just a few games with the team. I love to think of what will happen once he starts to get to know our plays.

I should also add Daniela who has performed each time he has been called on. Appears to have a great step and his defence has improved. Folkes must be working with him

I don't understand why the Fonz (stealing your line Balmain Bug) does not use the whole bench. It would be great if Rhino, Fulton and Ellis get a break during the game and come back fresh. It is good to have 80 minute players but it must take it's toll during a long season.

Moors is in the unenviable position of being behind Fifita as far an impact prop is concerned, and behind Dwyer as far as being used in the backrow is concerned. Moors injury-aside, Skando will make way for Gibbs as the second prop on the bench so I'm not sure where this leaves Moors, the club has a 1 year option in it's favor for next season which hopefully they will use, he's definitely FG material.

i would love to see moors used (once back from injury)… but ofcourse their will always be a back on the bench...

... so you have to think if he's better then fifita, dwyer or gibbs... i honestly think he provides more impact off the bench then dwyer does...

Sheens is criticised for recruiting these players and now criticised for under utilising them. Geez.

The thing is, both players have shown more at this club then they did at their previous one. They have turned out to both be good finds IMO.

McKinnon came to us and his hamstring still wasn't quite right hence his pace was down.

I think we should take the positive in that Browns form two weeks ago gave Sheens the confidence not to have to rush Wade back and allow his full recovery. This is why you have depth. It is unfortunate but Wade offers a great deal of structure to the backline

It's a nice position to be in, to actually have decent/good players missing out. Depth in our playing roster was one of our weaknesses over the last few years. Keeps everyone on their toes and focussed.

I wouldnt say they are unlucky… There is no body in front of them which doesnt deserve there spot. Maybe a few have had a couple of off days, but they obviously have the runs on the board that the coaching team believe is more creditable.

We can only get 17 into the Team each week...

All Three new recruits have played their parts well so far in 2010, They should be proud of themselves and be hungry for more.

All three a re relatively young and will play a part in the future. look out in 2011.

PS - Some good positive comments in the thread - Well done guys

The problem was Fitzhenry the use of him though the season was a joke both Brown and Daniela should have been the first choices.. all water under the bridge.

I appreciate everyone's insightful comments. It is great that Wests Tigers are in a position to have depth this year in a number of positions. I agree that Moors has added more impact then Dwyer but Dwyer is definately a player of the future and so is Moors once a couple of players retire (Skando and Payten)

Is Moors Injured???….he is not named in am=ny injury list or Wests Tigers team (ie Western Suburbs or BRET)....so where is he?

I think Willow said the other day he's suffered a potentially season ending injury.
