He played right centre today and scored a try, never played bad for us, I liked him, Sheens didn't apparently, because he kept on dropping him when others were more deserving.

Skills under high ball vs other areas may not be the same, hence the label of average.
If you can diffuse bombs easily opposition dont target you with high balls so having that skill is defeated.
Only the weaknesses are highlighted and exploited.
We rarely see Bombs go Simona's side however field day Nofos side.
Not saying Brown is or was rubbish, just not what you need to get back in your team if thats what you are already trying to clear from it
He's the kind of player you love having in your squad. A reliable filler who's going to give 100%. It's sad his plight seems to be to roam the NRL looking for a regular start.

Mitch Brown is average. Played 3 FG games in the last 2 seasons.
I'm not saying he's not an honest toiler, but I think it's a step in the wrong direction unless it is a NSW Cup contract.

This forum seems to have a fascination with Mitch Brown that borders on the unhealthy. I remember when he was at the Tigers there was a little group here that put him forward as the answer to practically any problem. Benji going badly? Mitch Brown at 5/8! Pack underpowered? Mitch Brown at lock!
Now he gets a run in first grade for the first time in years and all of a sudden it's "sign him up!" I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a lovely guy and an honest trier but really, he's a fringe first grade player who can cover the outside back positions. He would add nothing to the side over and above another dozen similar players who can be picked up any time between now and round one next year.
