Mitch Brown

Apparently humphreys told sheens to drop fitzy weeks ago that he wasnt FG standard….fitzy will NEVER wear a WT jersey again....sheens has been told and he has fallen into line if he wants his job next year.

It is absolutely ridiculous that it had to come to this (if it did) but thankfully it did.

As said in previous post it was good to see a W/Tigers fullback actually run it back on the kick returns, instead of dancing along the 10 or 20 line and then dominated in the tackle. Well done Mitch.

Great game by Mitch today. He has had some problems this year but no way was he ever a complete dud of a buy - and anyone who says he was hopeless at Cronulla last year has no idea.

Just shaded by Gareth for MOM.

I agree with the above comments but I also thought Liam Fulton was terrific today!

Mmm, interesting.

When Mckinnon comes back Brown can be the bench utility can play 1-5 and is big enough to play 11 12 13! Good game Mitch

Brown had his best game for the Tigers today. Attacked the football and safe as house which was great to see. His returns also put the Tigers on the front foot a lot too.

I had high hopes for him this year.

Unfortunately he hasn't had a consistent go at first grade in one spot, but gee he was great today. Safe as a bank and looked dangerous when he ran the ball.

Was a great performance. He really made a statement and surely must have strong claims to stay at number 1 ahead of McKinnon. good on him. i've never been a fan before but he won me over today. I'd almost forgotten what it is like to see a fullback return the ball and break the line.

This is the first I have read of this? How did you find out?

Agree whole heartedly and glad Gus gave him a sly kudos- hopefully will help Brown keep his spot. Am a fan of McKinnon, but have been slightly disappointed in his form. Brown has been great as fullback today, and let's not forget his impact in the Broncos and Sharks matches!

Was very strong under the high ball today (a few kicks put him under pressure.) He was never afraid to steam back on the return and made a few promising runs. Was unlucky not to score a try.

The guy has plenty of potential, he just hasn't been given enough minutes to prove himself.

The only complaint I have on McKinnon is his inability to stay fit. He has been very safe at the back as well and once he gets his match fitness back, I think you can expect to see him get more involved in attack.

Was my man of the match today.

Not taking anything away from Ellis etc but everything we did started with his strong runs. Even Farahs 40/20 started with a dominant run & quick PTB from Brown
