There is no way you can play Taupau at lock if you play two hookers. We would also need to sign an 80 minute back rower to move Taupau to the front row. This is why STGI are smart to buy a cheap Farah.

My initial thoughts are the same as yours however with 2 attacking hookers coming on in spurts around tired forwards the game changes dramatically. Add to it outside backs running as forwards from dummy half and the game may change in a very different direction. Forwards could become defensive workhorses rather than meter men and impact players off the bench could be prized commodities.
It will be very interesting how tactics of teams play out - conventional or game breakers on the bench.
