Mitchell Moses released [Official]

The only good thing out of all this besides the Tigers dodging a big bullet is Issac Moses has dropped a massive amount of $$$$ with his strategy last 6 months.

Wood's, Tedesco and Moses all reportedly signing for less then the Tigers had on the table.

Add Todd Payton not getting the head coach position gig and the footy whisper being shown the door.

That's a lot of commission lost

Hopefully Brooks kicks him to the curb shortly.

If we gave him up to get nothing in return, then i'm sorry to say that is weak. Should have let him languish in mediocrity for the rest of the year if that is the case.

I'm with you on this. I think letting him go without any financial compensation or player swap makes us look spineless.

I agree, we look absolutely pathetic after all this. We Should hav banished him down to reserve grade for the season. No player is bigger than their club. Could you imagine Des, Wayne or Bellamy doing this? No freakin way.
The club have a lot to answer for if they didn't get anything in return.

I just fail to understand how that NRL had seen what is happening with this guy ….. his obvious and now admitted tanking ..... and have done absolutely nothing.
Any other worthwhile employer and administrator would have dragged the person in by his ears and read him a riot act and imposed sanctions.
Where is leadership in this bloody organization. No wonder the crowds and ratings are down.
Absolutely disgraceful.
And all the while WT are getting abused about the situation. Just stinks.

WTs is his employer, not the NRL and nobody but us can be blamed for him playing first grade.
There was a lot of us that have been saying that he wasn't a first grader a long time ago .

Deliberate non performance by a player still under contract ….. well to me that comes under the " bringing the game into disrepute" heading.
And that is the the area for which NRL is a gatekeeper.

I think you are both right. The WT's have a huge part to play in this drama. They cultivated and nursed this huge ego for years and did little to curb it. This bloke has maybe played a dozen better than satisfactory first grade games for the club in his entire career, yet was allowed to go unchecked. A few on here have been saying for years he should be dropped for his performances and attitude. This has been going on ever since his second year of grade.
To me he has dogged the majority of games this year, whether some were tanked is conjecture only but it certainly looks that way. Id like the integrity unit to be thorough in their investigation. The NRL should be concerned as stuff like this is beginning to happen more frequently and will only increase in time.

Even worse , he was given the reins of the team and was told that it was his team.
He was still learning how to play football, and in no way was he ready , or able to do this .
A few meetings with the reserve grade coach may have saved him from the big head , that has been Part of his problems here.
But No! They were a protected species and could not get the one thing that could possibly have made a difference to this stupid experiment .
A stint in reserve grade , to learn the game , and also to learn that Playing badly had consequences. Both were things that they knew nothing about

Whoever had the dopey idea that two rookies could control and direct an NRL team , As well as learn how to be a genuine first grader, had rocks in his head, and should never again be allowed to make decisions in in an NRL club.
It was always going to Be a good bet that only one would suceed here, And he would need a lot of help to get past the damage that was done in the first couple of bungled years. and IMO.
We got to keep the better of the two

It is going to be interesting to see how he is managed by Brad Arthur who certainly wasnt scared to drop Chris Sandow and eventually cut him for under performing.
It will be quite a different situation for him at Parra. He will have a very short window to do well before the fans cut loose on him. If ever he he is going to walk the walk it has to be now or he could very quickly find that he has sabotaged his own career. I still believe he has got the skills but he has effectively backed himself into a corner now where their is no place for further talk of potential.

Gotta wonder what blokes like Beau Scott, Manu mau and degois etc think when this little weasel strutted into training for the first time. Genuine tough guys forced to play with a sooky lala

I look at it from the perspective that the coach thinks that the team is better off with no 5/8 or a reserve 5/8 than with Moses. Sends a pretty strong public message.

It will be interesting if this kills the pot shots and media snipping that has been pretty intense for the last few weeks.

I had to laugh at this quote out of the Telegraph today.

"**In the latest blow**, playmaker Mitchell Moses has been released to join Parramatta with immediate effect"

As if we're worse off without him. Whether he was released or not, he shouldn't be playing first grade anyway so no real loss to us.

I think initially he will kill at Parra - if he does it will be interesting if the media question his turnaround in form and whether he gets a please explain from the NRL - no doubt the media will turn around any improvement by saying it came about by getting away from our poor culture.

Mich Moses, the worst half in the NRL

this is stats for Moses, Reynolds and Brooks this year. Unfortunately they don't have a stat that measures sookiness and being a pea heart.

Mitchell Moses – The Worst Half In the NRL Backed By Stats.

Mitchell Moses – The worst half in the NRL backed by stats and the Eels new worst nightmare. Not many players are so bad we write an article about them, but Moses is one of them, not quite as bad as Jack “Error Making Machine” Wighton but he’s up there.

We’ll look at the statistics and you’ll see why. Not only is he the worst half in the game he’s also a cry baby. It’s too bad for the Eels supporters that they have to now have this sook at their club.

The stats;

**Missed tackles: 49** missed tackles over the first 10 games. He’ll have way over 100 missed tackles for the entire season. This guy gets paid to play footy? He’s got the second most missed tackles in the whole NRL. Right behind Maloney. Just last week in round 10 against the Rooster he missed NINE tackles!

**Try Assists: 1 try assist**. He has 1 try assist in his first 10 games of the NRL. What exactly is he doing? Halves are the one’s who set tries up. Essentially that’s part of his job, and he’s failing. Badly. If he’s not setting up tries why is he even in the halves?

**Errors: 10 errors**. It’s only been 10 games of footy and he’s already made 10 errors? Fair enough if he’s a big pie eating numpty prop, but he’s not. He’s in a position that requires the most skill in the game.

**Goal Kicking Percentage: 69.64%**. This bloke is one of the worst goal kickers in the comp and maybe the history of the game. Compare that to Adam Reynolds who kicks at 92.59%.

**Line Break Assists: 2**. Two line break assists, what exactly is he doing on the field? He’s not kicking goals, he’s not setting tries up. Oh, he’s missing tackles, missing goals and making errors.

Is it a coincidence that West Tigers are at the bottom of the ladder and the worst half in the game plays for the them?

**If you’re a Eels supporter you should be hoping that he gets cut from the squad and Gutherson and Norman stay in the halves with Bevan French at fullback. Moses in his best game would make a few errors warming the bench.**

The best thing that’s happened to the West Tigers is Mitchell Moses leaving. They may have a chance of avoiding the wooden spoon now.

i know he played harold mats for parra but it's still sad seeing him leave. Especially seeing him develop here in the lower grades and winning SG Ball literally single handedly. He killed Milf in the final. But it is what it is.

Posting photos of the "Little Grub" training with Parra should be the close of this thread hopefully.

Out of sight, out of mind!
