Mitchell Pearce

Pearce would be the PERFECT fit for the Tigers and exactly the guy we should be after, but of course his availability would be the issue. For those who said its just a one off game the CvC, you should watch his club games. GREAT defence, great kicking game, solid passing game and great organiser. Perfect foil for Farah & Benji,

wrt him not wanting to play here, surely know he has proven himself and would not be compared to his dad.

Yeah that's my thoughts, he appears to at least be a good fit for Farah, whether he fits for Benji or not though, not sure, but he certainly could be.

I would have thought he has proven himself now and won't be in the shadow of his Dad if he came here at some stage.

Back to normal decibels, LaT informed me on another thread that Anasta played halfback only once in his entire career - in a 56-0 thrashing by Manly!

I think most of us just accept this will happen. Well more to the point, Anasta will be wearing the number 7 jumper even if he's not actually playing halfback…
The jumper numbers are just a suggestion for our side rather than a firm or binding intention of where a player will actually play.
 
i would love him to be a tiger his dad was a champ and his uncle wasnt a bad half or 5/8 won a grand final with tigers you would think he would be at home with us

Mitchell has been a disobediant boy. Junior should put the boy over his knee and spank him until he undertands that father knows best.

Other father and son combinations are happy to play for the same club - what is wrong with Mitch. Join the fold Mitch, you have Tigers in your blood. You cant keep denying it.
 
I have heard before that Mitchell hates Wayne and there r some big family issues there, so coming to tigers is never a chance as long as wayne wants that

Anasta won't get a start @ #7 the way HUMBLE is playing! Pearce on the other habd walks straight in. In saying that his private schoolboy roots mean he's too coll for school! To hang round the Inner West & C'town… See him down round Coogee regularly having afeed n a swim... Maybe when he's 30 n washed up he'll give us a look in!
 
Andrew I'm not normally one to speculate, and I would hope its not true too, but I used to work with a bloke that told me he and his wife were good friends of the Pearce family

Its not speculation, nor do you have to be friends of the family. Mitchell was all over the media in his early days saying he wouldnt play for the Tigers_because he didnt want to be judged in his Dads shadow_ but that was prior to him becoming a regular/good first grader/SOO Rep.

Nothing to prove now, PERFECT fit at the Tigers playing style wise, ex Tigers junior, Junior Junior, he needs to come home
