What I cant believe is how some folks reckon the BJ hit was worse than Latrell, reading that twitter feed. At best Latrell's is equivalent IMO. Some folks seem to reckon it's ok to lose your mind so long as you do it "quickly enough". It's not just temporal, it's the fact that nobody would assert the Reynolds kick was intentional to hurt and everyone could see Graham run in from an offside position, so it's his own stupid fault.
However it tells you everything you need to know about rugba league, there will never ever be compelte agreement on contentious issues and it's pointless to get all upset when a decision doesn't go the way you think it should. Because there will be a large contingent of folks who think the exact opposite to you.
What I cant understand is Souths got the penalty when the first infringement was when the offside player touched the ball. Then the Reynolds incident, then Latrells swinging arm to the head of Reynolds. In the Parramatta game, Mahoney had a try disallowed when someone walked through the ruck. The Referee stated he had to penalise the first offence. What was the difference?
