Moltzen back round 25

Yeah I remember that Langmack came back a LOT heavier than he was!

They didn't call him 'Hungry Jack' Langmack for nothin'

I'd love to have Moltzen back in the 7 Jersey, but it is a risk. Not doubting the experts that have been associated in getting Moltz knee back to where in needs to be, but confidence, timing, pressure from lateral movement and as Gary eluded too, match fitness will be obvious concerns that need to be weighed up on whether or not Wests should risk him.

Having Moltz available has got to be good news. If Lui is struggling for form or fitness then Moltz is a mile ahead of any other option we have.

Benji and Lui could both go down against penrith and moltz still wouldn't be brought back. There simply isn't enough time and they have been bringing his rehab along slowly

I just know that with Moltz in the side…our attack has zip to it....Benji plays wide and runs off long, flat, crisp passes that Moltz throws and our attack flows...I'm sorry Lui may be a good young prospect but apart from the lovely pass to Ellis on the run I haven't seen much!...so If we can somehow get Moltz back during the semis then I'd be one happy Tigers supporter!

As fergiefurr and T-REXX have both said, it ain't gonna happen. Disappointing but that's just the way it is.

people need to understand, for the sake of a few games the Tigers are not going to risk another major injury and cripple the start of next season..

IT ISNT HAPPENING, nothing is going to change it, nothing is going to make it speed up…

Well T-Rexx ….... what happened to Pat Richards in the 2005 grand final taught me never to say never again. He was 1000/1 to play after his injury the previous week and the rest is history. So you just never know.

LARS is to new. Moltz is only 21-22 years old.. why risk permanent damage ??? The guy from Cronulla did it as it was his last and only option.. No doctor in their right mind would subject a young player with promoise and ability like Moltz on a new procedure… one its more tested and tried then things will change.. i bet if the team did go that route and he came back and did it again, i bet someone would be calling for someones head.

Pat Richards injury was nothing like this… and in the case of him if it was any other game they would have taken a different approach to it healing...

You reckon??
Patty was using the hyperbaric chamber down at Homebush State Sports Centre back then.
And since then WT have got one down at Concord now..

whats ur point?

its not something new is it… its tried and tested. And No they would have not rushed him back if it was a normal round game cause after the GF he needed time to rest the ankle... and prob set him back a few more weeks..

LARS is totally new, not worth the risk and in MOLTZENs own words he didnt want to risk it... nore did the tigers..

for the sake of a few games…..see, that is where we differ our opinion T-Rexx

Moltz has a long long career ahead of him, but if the tigers have a chance to win the commp in 2010, and moltzen is available, i'd be picking him.

sadly, we won't be seeing him until trials in 2011 :frowning:

And funnily enough at 28 years of age Covell just announced his retirement as his body isn't holding up.

Which is why LARS isnt the best option for him…. its Not proven 100% specially on younger players. DO Lars and if it failed not only can it do more damage but could cut his carrer short.

And his body is still young, that is why He SHOULDNT play this year.. he needs the full year and off season to build strength in it again.. your taking the attitude of WIN AT ALL COSTs even if it means we risk a player we will need next year....

Looks like theyve finally learnt…..too often weve brought players back early only for them to reinjure and get worse.
Richards, Hodgo...Galloway...
