Moltzen Staying Or Going

But if the player you bought was so determined to get out of his contract, would you still want him at your club?

I know I wouldn't.

thats the million dollar question….even if tim cant worm his way out of his saints deal and has to play with them what will come of him? he'd be on the outer from the outset.

if he didnt wannna play for them, why did he sign a contract in the first place?
assuming he did sign one 😕

 Humphreys looks like he is prepared to take on the good old boys club of secret handshakes

love his work… He sounds more and more like Ribot everyday... FIRE UP HUMPTY!!!

Glad you find it funny.
I find it highly unprofessional
Do we know what we are doing?
Doesnt sound like it to me.
Humpty is an amateur

Humpty is an amateur?

I think you will find he is anything but….

So you believe this is all professionally handled?
What about the mess mid year?
He's merely a fuigurehead…he's not running this show I can tell you

Contracts are worthless look at tinklier and the jets he just sacked the coach and marque . Money talks and tigers have plenty. Also Dwyer to never play again

I think the Saints will want to talk to Moltzen before they decide want they want to do
There is no use having the body of an NRL footballer at your club whose heart is elsewhere
But they will want bucketloads of compensation
I would if I was in the Saints shoes

U can't blame moltz for re-nigging.

He wanted to stay a tiger
He was given permission to look
Signed with St George to secure future
Lui in trouble and Dwyer now ruled out for 2012.
That leaves a good sum of money and that changes everything.
He wants to stay a tiger.
Their negotiating.

Wouldn't you want a CHANCE to stay at a club where you know the players, staff and have mates there.

And if we have the upper hand to keep him I'm all for it.

Stuff St George. We owe them nothing. And vice versa

so our halfback allegedly hits a woman and our 2nd rower suffers a potentially career ending injury and the Saints have to suffer?
hardly seems fair to me.

:ugeek: I agree screw st George we are a business and owe them nothing.lifes not fair chief . Money talks and **POST EDITED BY ADMIN** walks

Wouldn't you?

His future was unclear

And prob offered a good package.

There are Reasons why this is happening. But not for us to judge till it's clear

At the end of the day if tigers haunt given him final approval to join St George which is what it sounds like. We have the first right to him

And a verbal acceptance is worth didly squat. That's the whole reason for a contract

Moltz a tiger in 2012.

OK so he thought his future at the Tigers was unclear, so he signed a contract with Dragons.
He played safe, he could've taken a gamble and stayed with the Tigers hoping space frees up in the cap. And yes, it would've been a BIG gamble, so he signed with the Dragons. IDK what the word "contract" means anymore, but as far as I know, once you sign on the dotted line, all over Red rover.

so basically the dragons should have tryed to get the release sooner then?

So we tell him to look elsewhere - yet hold him to a contract.
He finds another club and signs….we get the shits when new club announce signing.
Circumstances change so we decide we now want him back.

Imo we now look like manly.

This club has hoodwinked every single one of its members and supporters, allowing us to believe he was gone.

Nothing to be proud of here, in fact its disgraceful.

You are thinking about this emotionally - Don't. It's a business at the end of the day.

He should gamble on his future ?? Really!!

We don't know what's gone on or what's been signed etc. So we can't start the blame game or finger pointing. But IF we didn't give them final approval, we have the right to want to keep him.

If he signed and we approved it, it's unto St George to let him go. And if that is the case it's a new agreement if they release him. Moltz will honor it if he has to. But doing what he can to stay where he wants.

im not being emotional, I'm stating the fact.
Would Moltzen have been with us if Lui and Dwyer were still there.
I think I'm missing something, this all doesn't make sense to me, so I'm just gonna stop posting.

This is pretty embarrassing by the Tigers and Moltzen for me. There's no doubt both Tim and the club are trying to scramble out of the deal with Saints due to a couple of reasons

1) Moltzen's late season form
2) Lui's future

Personally I would make him honour in contract at Saints. This back tracking is a bad look for our club and Tim. He is a good player when at his best but the club is hardly going to fall apart without him. I can certainly understand people wanting him to stay, he was pretty dynamic at the end of the year. Just my personal opinion is let him go and move on.
