Moltzen Staying Or Going

Are you a tigers fan Willow?

Congratulations, you have just asked the most ridiculous question of the year.

Yeah it may seem a ridiculous question but I have been on the Dragons forum lately since the Moltzen saga and have noticed "willow" who seems to quote alot of posts that are on this forum. Also alot of comments on their own threads??? Thats why I asked the question.

Everything the club does, they don't have to appease members and fans.

….and sponsors.
They dont have to appease anyone, they can tell everyone to get stuffed.
However...we all know how far that will get them.

As much as you like it they can keep thongs in house until they know full details.

We all know theres more leaks at concord than a colander, dont we troy?

I am unable to see the virtue in the WT management conducting business whilst keeping members and supporters (which effectively means the world at large) fully informed as to what and why it is doing with player contracts.
IMO the WT management should be ensuring the Club has the best available players on the roster. Those kind of considerations will inevitably change - especially when player performance fluctuates.
I am happy to be kept in the dark about player contracts. All I expect is that the Club has the best available players.
That is why I applaud the Club's handling of its contract with Moltzen.

Confidentiality when its required, and moving the goalposts after the balls been kicked off, changing your tune …..are two very different things.

OK felt like a stupid question and obviously lost some rep points for asking it!!! But there was alot of info that was on this forum that seemed to be passed on to their forum.

The running of the club in these cases has nothing to do with sponsors.
There are things like Moltz that are always evolving and no use releasing little bits here and little bits there specially during a time where we were on a run of wins. Why bring these up??
The reason it's bought up now is the seasons finished and per season is starting.

Mark, does that bother you does it? You seem to be so hung up on how bad management is running the club and the direction they are going.
Just not sure why you support them? It's not
Just you but week in and week out the constant negative posts be it "humpty" and sheens. Or even
To a point players.
Fair enough you can be disappointed at the results or not agree with some things but you either don't support them or at next GM apply for a position on the board.

At the end of the day the WT management is running a multi million dollar corporation and being run by someone who is more then qualified to run it and coached
By someone who also is well qualified. They are not here to please people like us forum members with little snippets of info till they have all details ready to present

post of the year, hands down

I dont want to know all the little bits and pieces, I agree theyre are experts running the show, we are mug supporters only….but when it appears to me they have misled players sponsors and players alike for several months, when it appears to me they couldve avoided this whole mess months ago, when it appears to me theyve not acted in a professional manner - at this stage knowing what we know...then while I will still support the team, it doesnt mean I will agree or feel comfortable with the way the club conduct themselves, this forum gives me an outlet to express that.
Some like you troy seem to follow team/club them blindly, theyre NEVER wrong - good for you, if it makes you feel better - I look at each thing on its merits.
People pick out the negative posts of mine and others....and suggest its all we post, its not, its like good news, good news is great but ''Plane lands safely at Mascot'' doesnt make the front page. Only the negative bad stuff has any impact.

but you either don't support them or at next GM apply for a position on the board.

:unamused:
yeh post of the year.

At the end of the day, they probably would have handled the mid season contract stuff a lot better if they had their time over again. I think it became very messy and was a massive distraction, but Sheens and Humpty were clever enough to use it as a motivation tool in our charge up the ladder and to finish where they did from where they were was brillant. Like us CEO'S and head coaches are human and do not always make the right calls, its how they fix the bad calls that count and I think they have done okayl

Humphries and Sheens are not there to destabilize our club. They care more for the players and their welfare than we ever would. Sometimes, it is better to be sheltered from the day to day politics and have some faith in the skills of those people that have been elected to their positions.

You don't want everyone at the table to know what cards you have or you will ambush your own success. They gave Moltz permission to negotiate, and I believe they have now reneged on this position because it is in both Moltz and the clubs best interests and that comes first. Irrespective, it is now in our best interests to have Tim Moltzen remain on our payroll and, given that we are the only ones to have him registered with the NRL for 2012, he will remain in the black white and gold.

We owe the dragons nothing. Our focus needs to be on our own club. We need to be ambitious and professional and if we are then we can go a long way.

The same way you read their Forum they probably read our Forum

Why would the Dragons want to have Moltzen now after saying he doesn't want to play for them? The Dragons supporters would give Moltzen a very hard time.

I know what what your saying Alien. Seems to me that Moltzen is is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hope he enjoys his footy next year!

This whole issue has been handled rather poorly IMO. TM appears to be the meat in the sandwitch. He is in a bad position no matter what. Whatever happens I hope he has sucess in the future.

I was quite comfortable with him going when the dragons said they had him and i still feel that way.I wish him all the best at st george and i hope he finds success there
