Moltzen

I have been very disappointed with his season to date but credit where credit is due he really stood up today at the back.

Took the high-ball well and finally ran the ball back with a bit more 'oomph'
If we are to win the comp he will have to play like that through the finals, come on Timmy!

Best game of the season. I was a big fan, lost faith, but I have a very strong feeling he will assist the boys deep into finals. We will be very sorry to see him go if he keeps up this form

Great game, he attacked the ball and with his speed he was always going to cause problems. I was watching him warm up and he looked like he was up for a big one

Damn I blew my load (Moltzen is gonna have a blinder thread) a week too soon.

I'll still take some credit for predicting an improvement in form thanks.

It's a real shame we all saw what he was capable of in 09 and the talent he has.
He just hasn't been able to piece it together very much this year.
I still think he won't be a huge loss for next year. I can't see where saints will play him.

can he pass on the run though?

Have always wondered how people didnt see his obvious potential as a fullback. Interesting to see Hybrid hasnt commented in this thread yet. He is usually a bit quicker when its a Moltzen bashing thread.

Im eating humble pie

I feel great delight after defending this guy in many threads in the last few months. Many claimed to dump him to State Cup. Some claimed McKinnon was a better option. But a few of us stayed loyal. I think he is a super talent if he stays uninjured.

Now, on the other hand, I bashed Lui from pillar to post for the last few months and I'm eating humble pie there. He has turned his form around and I am going to be a bit rattled if he misses any time between now and end of season. He has really picked up his game.

I hope they both keep improving.

It will be good to see those who were kicking Moltzen and Sheens (for picking him) come forward like 'biggest tigers fan' and admit they spoke too soon. Good on you for having the courage to speak up. (reputation points coming your way!)

Thankfully he is gaining form at the right time of year and today was his best game of the year. He needs to continue over the next couple of weeks as the Tigers play weaker opposition and Moltzen has an ideal opportunity to work on his support play and positioning.

Quite ironic really, Moltzen's attack is improving noticeably as is Lui's defence, which both players have been criticised for throughout the majority of this season.

My thoughts exactly. He was my fave before he got injured and he didnt come back this year in the same form. Was happy for him to go….now no so happy. At least Lui is now looking the part in the 7 as well and Brown could be a fulback and deserves a spot. But Moltzen, IN THIS FORM, is a massive loss.

Where are the bashers?

One good dame hardly makes up for a season of garbage tbh.

With that said, he was great today! It was like watching a different player, if he played like that week in week out, the Tigers would NEVER have let him go and I think all those 'bashers' would never have existed.

Foot in mouth…. tastes gross, a little salty... but if he keeps playing like this, I could get used to the taste I guess.
