Moltzen's Future

I'd like to see Moltzo given a shot in the centre's and Lawrence moved to the back row. What are your thoughts?

Who? :stuck_out_tongue:

Lets see how he goes over the preseason and in the trials, if he deserves a spot then I'm sure JT will find him one.

NSW Cup / Failed Career thread.

Not good enough for first grade.

Gee ..I sometimes wonder if we have any players the fans actually like….

As for Moltzen he needs to put a good 2 months back to back at least in State Cup playing regularly before I'd consider him for FG....in any position

I don't know - I hope he gets back on the field and has a decent run without injuries. He's still relatively young - who knows. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but some players 'toughen' up in the latter part of their careers. Steve Rogers was one who springs to mind, (don't shout me down just yet - in no way am I suggesting that Moltzen would ever be within a bulls roar of 'sludge' as a player), but Rogers wasn't anywhere near as tough in his younger years as he was later. Tim has a whole heap of skills - he just needs the toughness to go with them.
Good luck to him for 2015.

I agree with GEO,he needs time and runs under his belt…State cup for about 6-8 games before he is even considered for FG....

I'm only saying this because of such a long lay off through injury.ll

He may improve heaps and leave us with egg on our faces....

I can't see the same being said about Tedesco if he ends up like Timmy. I would like to see Tim be given a fair go. He's still a million times better than most of the people on this forum

Pat Richards had bad luck with Injury when he was 20 odd, came back pretty strong for another decade…...........

Jason Taylor, how do you know the people on this forum aren't a million times better than Timmy…
They are good people and are entitled to their view...
As I have said before we all have different opinions on topics and we agree to disagree at times, but no one is better than the next person,we are all human and have varying views.

Stay positive Jason and everything will be OK...

I've considered the thought of Moltzen playing state cup in the centre's to see how he goes, but now that Austin is gone, I think it's important to play him at 6, so we have back up for Moses and Brooks.

I meant as a footballer. If they were better, they'd be playing in the NRL on more than a million a season.

He is a problem.

At times he looks like he lacks heart and courage, dumping kicks off to wingers, farting around regathering kicks instead of chewing meters as quick as possible….this is when he has a choice, and time to decide.

Other times Ive seen him defend with courage & gusto, one on one goal line defense that stopped rampaging back rowers dead in their tracks....these times he didnt have a choice

He has, or had speed...how his knee heals may detrmine his speed, speed is a valuable asset, hes not bad hovering in support looking for someone to make a half break or pop a ball

He has his pros and cons, however his pea heartedness at times overshadows everthing else he does - from where I sit

He doesn't have a choice anymore I don't think Ink

If he can't find some semblance of form by the end of the season his career will be over

No club will take a risk on him
