Momo

Only watched the highlights but Momo went well enough from that short 5 min clip, hopefully gets some more game time now.

Momo did good,he scored a couple of tries that some on here say were soft, however it doesn't take away the fact that he was in the position to score those tries and worked hard all game, allbeit he made a couple of errors which I put down to not having much game time in the top team...he will improve and Iam proud of his effort...he is a good buy for us although he is at storm we have swapped him for a pearler of a D/H which we needed and Momo will be back...

Momirovski has two outstanding wingers with excellent pace and size plus Papenhuyzen outside of him. He complements them with his smarts and ability to beat his man. I bet he enjoyed every minute of that game.

I think it's pretty clear watching him he's a good footballer that will never be great because the physical attributes aren't quite there. No reason why he couldn't have a long and successful career in first grade though.

Centre is also the least important position in the game imo. I do think it's a bit troubling two of our highest paid players are centres. We'd be better off with a modestly paid Momorovski than Mbye or Leilua on their current salaries, all other things equal.

Centre is one of the most important positions on the field IMO. A great centre unlocks your attack, especially if they are masters of creating space for their winger and putting him away eg: Jamie Lyon and to a lesser extent Justin Hodges.
Also a quality defensive centre binds your defence, if your centre is a poor defender, you're basically buggered. It puts enormous pressure on the winger to rush in out of lack of trust in his centre, creating a landslide of tries down an unmarked flank. Centre is pretty widely regarded as the toughest place to defend on the field.
Agree with your sentiments about value for money between BJ, Mbye and Momo. Momo comes out in front there by a mile.

I'd like to see our skills' coach work on the lost art of quick hands through the backline, especially with the new rules. There is so much potential to open the defence of the other team with quick hands. All our centres should be schooled in this art, not just used as defacto second row battering rams.

Momo is a competent player with out being a world beater ... he will win you more games than lose , happy he is on board for next season . He shown last season he is mentally strong to come back after a few bad games ... some of that could rub off on some others in the squad!

I reckon the art of quick hands through the backline is becoming a dying art because of the kick n hope bomb that has infected our game. Tries from bombs should be worth 2 points.

He may stay longer based on this article .
We get JAC , and they retain Momo. We also need to given them another player to “sweeten” the deal .

Read thinks it’s a good idea but not sure how realistic it is, seems like he’s just thought it up. Would be smart though, would be a good deal for us and Melbourne.

I think Robert Jennings would look great in a Storm jersey.

Maybe they haven’t officially signed Momirovski because they thought they could keep him in Melbourne and bring JAC back. Madge playing chess while storm are playing checkers 😉

I really like the idea of getting the Fox back...if we can keep Grant and give Melb someone else or monetary compensation I would be fine with that....
They also get to keep Momo who I have a high regard for, having said that I would also be happy if Momo stayed in Melb and has the opportunity to develop more within a great system and further his career,he is an honest hard working player and does deserve to have a great future in the NRL...

Momo slots into the centre next year, Moses M into the 6 and JR super league. Okay Moses M did not set the world on fire playing in the halves at the dogs, but he has a good passing game and is a very good defender so there is no reason why he would not work

How about Momo to right centre and BJ to the backrow ?

For mine, BJ will never make it in secondrow. Has the size but not the motor IMO and he has nothing exceptional as a back rower, but as a centre (for now, I think he will age quickly) he has a unique skillset that is valuable. I love that we have him here at the club and Ill enjoy having him, but IMO 3 years will see his value out.

They can have Momo.......and Jennings and Packer and McQueen and Reynolds, we take JAC and keep Grant.

Make it so.....

I thought the NRL wasn't signing off contracts due to covid etc. Pretty sure Frizzell is another example of this?

Re JAC, I don't like the idea of a swap for Momo plus a sweetener. Seems to me that Melb think they have the upper hand, whereas I would've thought we should, especially given that Melb have said they'll let him go at the end of the season.

They’re being registered again have been for a few weeks now.

Anyone who ever doubted MOMO'S ability to be a regular first grader those doubts should finally be put to rest given his chance at the Storm he has scored in both games and the try he scored against the Rorters and the number of players he beat to score was brilliant.I have said this before about MOMO he's an unfashionable player but he can find the try line

Yeah... I like him and will be glad to see him back, but sad to. See Grant go.
Will be harder to replace a good hooker than a good centrre

He can find his way to the tryline that’s for sure. Rest of his game is average but if you’re scoring tries that makes up for a lot of it 😂

Not if your name is Nofa, apparently

Momers doesn’t let in constant tries like Nofa did though ? I should’ve said he’s solid everywhere not average, doesn’t do a lot wrong but doesn’t stand out either
