Monday Night start again

For those or you who haven't checked the schedule yet, we are playing our first round match against the Bulldogs at Homebush on a monday night. That's now 3 monday night starts in a row now, and I think that's highly irresponsible of the NRL to do so considering how badly we've struggled backing up in the second round after the monday start and with the full knowledge that early in the season team's aren't at their peak fitness and are obviously going to struggle with such a short turnaround, also consider the hot weather.

Unless of course the Tigers are happy to play on Monday, but knowing our team very well, I think we would've loved nothing more than a 1st round match on a Sunday afternoon.

What are your thoughts on the issue?

just as a side note guys how do you bring up old threads(other that can be seen on the left of main page) and start new ones.cheers.

Yeah im not very happy about it either, even though we won both monday night kick offs to the season in 09 and 10 the next week in round 2 we lost both games.
In 09 it was up in Townsville against the cowboys in the stinking hot humidity then in 10 it was that scorcher of a sunday against the chooks at SFS.
Thankfully this year we come up against the warriors at leichhardt on a saturday night in round 2 and back it up with another home game in round 3 at campbelltown against the raiders on sat night. So this year fatigue shouldnt be much of a factor over the beginning 3 rounds for us as we dont have to travel from sydney and have no day games when the temps are warmer.

Just have to search, I knew this old thread was in the WTs main section….go thru the pages bottom right lookin at the thread titles.

Has nothing to do with the NRL it's Foxsports and Ch9 withtheir choice of games:

Ch9 get first choice - Fri
Fox get second choice - Mon
Ch9 get third choice - Sun
Fox get the rest to spread across Sat and Sun

or something like that

Anyway it's not NRL's decision
