More bad behaviour

Daley informed Jones on air on 2GB that if Labor won the NSW Election, it would be bye Alan and the Board except for three members. It was a heated discussion but I believe Daley deliberately chose the confrontation to return the narrative to Stadiums rather than transport.

Gus doesn't mention the victim(s) here once. May is already subject to an NRL contract and is therefore already bound by an NDA. This is all about the Panthers & NRL - nothing more.

I don't know what to think about this tweet…
It will either age really well or really badly TBH.

The charges appear to be below the +11 year threshold, yet May is being stood down under the newly established no-fault policy (that the RLPA are against). This seems all very well orchestrated, times, dates, releases, rumors, everything nicely packed. I'm all over this.

Videos were known of. May is nothing but collateral bait. The latest leaks are trojan horses, designed to take down the NRL Memes page because they see it as an absolute threat. The admin of the NRL Memes page leaks the alleged identity of the young lady, only after being threatened with legal action for the original leak - the admin tells the representative to kick rocks. At which point, last night, MG, drunk out of his ass & emotional threatens the young admin of said page (which won't help much). May gets charged when everyone wakes up in the morning. MG lawyers up in the afternoon all of a sudden and how many days left till footy? You can't script whats happening this off season.

Interesting how this story turns into Gus centric issues. He carries far too much sway out that way. I don't know how players believe they can get away with much in Penrith because it is such an insular community. I am thankful WTs has a far more broader direction with the Inner West and Campbelltown/Macarthur regions.

It’s a morally bankrupt club. They showed that with their actions over the last few years. Just goes to show money doesn’t buy morals and culture

Morals and culture dont mean much if not anything in the NRL. This has been shown in how the Roosters conduct their business. Morals and culture within the NRL these days doesnt win premierships, it's about money and shady business ethics.

Culture is all anyone talks about in the NRL so it must mean something. As for money, Penrith could buy and sell the Roosters many times over. For all the money they have spent on their facilities for players, sports dieticians, every meal prepared for them they really don’t have much to show for it. In fact since our existence as Wests Tigers we have won a premiership more recently than they have and also carry 2 less wooden spoons. So what’s missing out there?

# Mark Geyer's lawyers to pursue NRL Memes page through the courts

Lawyers for rugby league great Mark Geyer are threatening to unmask the individual behind the notorious NRL Memes site, which has been posting sex videos of NRL players on Facebook that have subsequently been shared on social media.

The site began publishing videos in January when a video of former Roosters player Dylan Napa went viral, appearing to tell a woman to "Call me Big Papi".

Mr Geyer said he will sue those behind the Facebook page for falsely identifying his 22-year-old daughter Montana [as participating in the latest video involving Panthers star Tyrone May ](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/geyer-pursues-legal-action-over-defamatory-material-20190305-p511uy.html).

On Monday night, the page uploaded a screenshot from one of the videos at the centre of the allegations, with the caption: "The bird in the Tyrone May video is Mark Geyer's daughter. Happy days at Penrith."

Mr Geyer's solicitor, Bryden's Lawyers principal Lee Hagipantelis, said the individual or individuals behind the post would have known that it was not her.

"She's a 22-year-old girl who has been, through no fault of her own, dragged into this, they knew it wasn't her," he said.

"The law clearly provides that if you publish defamatory material, then you can be held liable."

Under Australian law, what it published on social media is held to the same standard as traditional media outlets and there have been numerous successful defamation cases over Facebook posts.

While proving who the administrator of a particular Facebook page is can prove challenging - the *Herald* has learnt that page operators create numerous fake accounts to run these pages - Mr Hagipantelis said there were ways to learn who had published the material.

He said they can apply for preliminary discovery of documents identifying the people controlling the Facebook page.

"You can bring them before the court. It can be difficult, but we know these pages are Australian-based. One man is particularly well known," he said.

On Tuesday, Panthers player Tyrone May, 22, who is at the centre of the latest posting on the site, [was charged under the new revenge porn laws](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/may-stood-down-by-nrl-after-police-charge-over-sex-tape-scandal-20190305-p511tv.html) with two counts of recording intimate image without consent, and two counts of disseminate image without consent.

The NRL Memes page over the weekend published several sex tapes of Mr May and what police say were women who consented to having sex - but not to being filmed.

NRL Memes responded to the *Herald's* questions about who runs it with a thumbs up emoji, and one blowing a kiss.

The NRL have announced that [Mr Napa will be fined 10 per cent of his salary over the incident](https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/nrl-in-a-bind-over-sex-tapes-20190303-p511g2.html), but he has not been criminally charged and neither has the person who published the video online.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he thought "zero tolerance" was the right approach to sports stars caught up in sexual assault or domestic claims.

"I think honestly, that's what the fans of the codes, being one of them, would want to see as well. Because sport can actually be a powerful tool to help get this message across… But they've got to change their culture to actually carry that message," he said, adding that players accused of a serious crime should not be allowed to play.

Dont get me wrong, I agree with you. Culture should mean more in the game and the lack of is starting to bite some clubs now. The thing that the Panthers are missing however, is smart operator and Gould isn't as smart as he thinks he is.

Who cares if they consented to filming it, if they did not consent for it to be released in the public domain they have been wronged.

Yes the women in the vids were wronged by the leaking of the footage , but don’t be so naive mate …
They knew what they were doing .

I haven't seen the videos, but the police have charged him with "two counts of recording intimate image without consent"

Yes I know …
That’s why I used the term “laughable “
in my previous post .
These Dickhead NRL players and the groupie chicks they hang with are both as bad as each other imo

I would like to know exactly what constitutes this thing called team culture. We hear the players and coaches mention these words regularly, yet with all the rubbish going on over the last 6 months in particular doesnt seem to stack up with the morals, ethics, codes of conduct which one would think is part thereof in respect to team culture. Not to mention all the education that they receive on how to treat and respect women, which apparently is not working out too well at all. These players have been well informed and educated on how to behave but apparently think they are above all others in society that it is now time for a zero tolerance, 1 strike your out and your professional football career is over.
