Yep - Gus cant go around tearing strips off the NSW State of Origin coaches/admin and publically stating that he didnt want his Penrith players to be involved with it in 2017, due to the terrible culture, and then expect sympathy when his own club appears under his watch, to be in the midst of their own culture problem. Let alone his involvement in the Cleary poaching saga.
He is delusional if he thinks that he has control over what is societal issue separate to every other club in the NRL, and this week he copped a taste of what happens when you think you are above and beyond.

It’s a great vote winner for labor. Throw stadiums in the the same basket as schools and hospitals and your sure to get the punters on board.
IMO Sydney needs at least three world class venues, one in the city, one at Parramatta and one around Liverpool and the NRL need to use these grounds and walk away from the old suburban venues. The government collects enough taxes to fund hospitals,schools and stadiums.
I don’t want to turn this into a political debate, but a decade of Labor saw nothing done in NSW and Iam afraid it’s going to happen again

I don't see Labor leaving Moore Park as a hole in the ground. Hopefully they just build another Bankwest Stadium there and beat their chests on how much money they saved. This will leave ANZ as is but rebuilt at a later time. ANZ is fine at the moment for internationals,origins and grand finals.

However since you mentioned it - what is wrong with construction that the SFS has faults in it's construction after only 30 years?
The Romans built the Colosseum 81-96A.D. (nearly 2,000 years ago) and most of it is still standing.
We did Not need a brand new stadium - could have been updated but not pulled down.

I can't believe that if the money is being spent on a new stadium in the CBD, they are building it with a 45,000 capacity.
Should be 80,000-100,000\. I know it will not get filled very often for NRL games, but for a city as big as Sydney (now & 30 years into the future) there are enough events that could use a stadium of that size.
Is up to the architects to design something that can have a format where it hold's 30-40k in lower tiers to provide a backdrop for TV coverage.

Gould was on the wrong end of a barrage of spiteful messages, after he offended SuperCoach fans, by saying he wouldn’t be open to providing more access for Penrith players to do Supercoach-based interviews.
“How does SuperCoach get kids into the parks? We never had SuperCoach when we were growing up. We were in the parks all the time. Summer and winter,” Gould tweeted.
“These guys, with their anonymous SuperCoach accounts, are up until 2am, trying to justify and promote their world to me. It’s an example of what I’m saying. Nice kids. Obviously very passionate about Fantasy. I’m not. As for fantasy sports attracting kids to the sport? That’s BS.”
It has been a tough start to the season for Gould after the Panthers were in turmoil on the back of two separate sex tape scandals.
Gould was close to tears when contemplating how this could happen to his club.
After a day at the races on Saturday Gould said he was looking to pull down his social media pages, as a result of repeated abuse.

It doesn't mention it in the article but Gus was saying some random stuff during this like Gambling is much better for the NRL than supercoach. And supercoach is basically online gaming and linked it to watching to much porn.. Was an interesting couple hours watching him implode on twitter and you know he will be back once Panthers win a few games.
