It's a promotional thing. 2015 is the 10 year anniversary of 2005 grand final and we planning on bringing anyone still playing back.

Benji is a done deal too and Elford is coming from Penrith to run the water

Still awaiting a source….

:wtf

Why is it always the same idiots that want sauce on everything.

Irvine is the source.. What more could you possibly need than that !

Irvine,ok you are the source,is he coming back for sure or is it a rumour, which we are quite used to on this forum…

FPN,SKD,even Lewis.....and once again nothing has eventuated...

When will we get a major signing that will benefit this club in the long run,not just for a final fling before retirement sets in,I know we won't get anything before 2016 but after that then things need to happen...

I do not doubt your being in the know, however we need substance...
Not guess work....cheers Irvine....

Irvine dd say he was trying to come back, keyword being ''trying''. That doesn't mean the club necessarily wants him. He's not saying its a done deal. Very different to the SKD and FPN rumors.

Never rated him. He was a softy who was driven back 5m every tackle. Our youngsters run at the opposition without fear.
Can't believe some would even consider having him back. Taking up a bench spot & depriving a youngster of valuable development opportunity. *facepalm

GNR4LIFE,yeah your probably right, but aren't you sick of the rumours and the old players wanting to come back…

I thought we were heading in a forward direction......

New board, new coach, new fresh players would also be nice....cheers mate.....

Well the thread title says it all.

I am sure people here just want a signing - so they will sign anyone.

This guy had very little going for him in the first place - now he has nothing going for him.

The negatives are : apart from going backwards. he would cost us money, it would cost us an extra ball per game, one for him and one for the rest of the team - he does not pass it! nor does he pick the ball up from the scrum (I remember).

If he is not better than what we have (and he isn't) why would you waste time thinking about it.

As for Ayshford, Elford, Marshall, Fifita or anyone else we let go - let them R.I.P.

I want young ,strong ,fast and even untried players (but I suppose you have to have a decent recruitment guy?)NOT over the hill pretenders wanting a retirement fund . The Tigers are fast becoming the laugh of the league …who else wants a retirement fund.

Taylor flat out said no signings this year possibly next.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

C W Heughington…246 FG games...11 Finals appearances 3 Tests for England ,,,,Experienced head in a position we lack to show the young blokes the way...yet it's the wrong kind...go figure...

P.S. he was still making a Sharks side with Gallen Lewis Tiupou and Fafita available...

Yeah, source..?

I don't rate him at all, he's sooooo soft.

Maybe these old heads (Richards, Halatau, McDonnel and now Heino) wanna come back because they know we're about to win a premiership this year or next…..

Soooooo soft but yet hes played first grade in the forwards for 10 years week in week out against people bigger than him.Throw in he was a talented boxer aswell away from footy so I get the feeling you are soooooooooooo wrong about rhino being soooooo soft.I agree He does lack impact because of his lack of size but one thing rhino never lacks is heart. That I can guarantee you.If the game gets sped up this year as they keep promising us Rhino can come into his own again ala 2005 but if its like last few years he will get dominated sadly.Just dont like hearing a guy sooooo brave get called soooooo soft.

I understand where you are coming from but the young guys need an older hard head to teach them and show them the way.Is rhino that person maybe but we certainly seem a little light with "talented"experience at the moment.

I thought he also indicated that if an opportunity present to sign a player who would provide extra strength in one or two vulnerable positions currently short on strength then he would seriously consider it. Then O'Donnell and Heinington must be the opportunities he was referring to?

Heighno actually did very well while Many of the Sharks forwards were out. His stats were quite impressive, made plenty of metres and was strong off the bench. Heighno was coached wrong while he was under Sheens. Would add some quality experience for a year or so while the young guys find their feet.
