I thought Brooksy would serve his suspension in the trials and be right to play round 1?

I thought so too however they changed the rule last year. Because it was only a grade 1 or 2 he can play in the 9s and trials but will miss round 1 unfortunately.

Didn't halatau get suspended for a week too?

Scott is an over-opinionated betting man… The roar lets him sprout whatever he wants and he isn't a journalist.

Either is Rothfield or Ritchie, but hey we all read there rubbish also

I had an ex girlfriend who worked at fairfax writing fashion articles.
She had to come up with 3 articles per month as part of her contract.
Im sure this moron has the same conditions and is sprouting crap to make his quota and keep his job.
Rothsfield, Weidler etc probably all have to come up with something as well is why they dish up turds so regularly.

"What? Hmm? Why'd you wake me up? Eh? What article? This? Oh … really? You woke me up for that"? Back to sleep. YAAAAAWWWWWNNNNN. "Oh - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everybody".

Don't know about anyone else , but was losing it about Day 3

We need a summer league ,something , anything 😛ray:

Yeh I hate the offseason. Doesn't help when we don't make the semis! There's always the 9s comp tho & we've got s couple more speedsters this year to light the place up.

Farah jas to start at number 9 come round 1, Ballin's not fit and Cherrington has yet to play 80 minutes of first grade. That said if Drinkwater is brought in for Brooks, Farah might play some minutes in the halves when Cherington comes on. It's good to have a plan B when you bring up the new guy. Curtis Sironen is another (more likely) option to move into the halves for some or all of a game

You'll never have journalistic integrity with sanity like this.

It looks like Pamela Whaley from Fox Sports has had to come with an article as she is doing some Holiday relief for other Fox Sports Workers
I love the comment from Josh right on the bottom of the page with his comment " Do you guys do any research " :roll

Wests Tigers best 17 for the 2016 NRL season: Manaia Cherrington to get limited games as third hooker

MANAIA Cherrington has only played 11 first grade games, but make no mistake — he is a future New Zealand representative.

The 21-year-old hooker made his debut from the bench for the Wests Tigers in round 13 of the 2015 season and has been told at various stages of his career that he is next in line to take Robbie Farah’s spot in the ruck.

But with the signing of Matt Ballin, the former Junior Kiwis captain has become the third-choice hooker at the club. It’s bad timing. His contract expires at the end of the season.

The exit of big men Marty Taupau, Keith Galloway and even Sitaleki Akauola means the Tigers are skint on forwards and would be crazy to carry two back-up hookers on the bench — especially when Farah is an 80-minute player.

It looks as though Cherrington, who toured with the Kiwis in England at the end of 2015, will miss out on consistent game time in 2016 during a crucial stage in his young career.

There has been so many changes at Concord for the 2016 season that it’s nearly impossible to tell who will start and who will miss out for the first round of the season.

New recruit Michael Chee Kam was only given limited time in first grade for Manly and it’s too soon to judge his potential, while fellow newcomer Joel Edwards didn’t step a foot in the top 17 for the Raiders in 2015.

Just how coach Jason Taylor intends to use former Manly half Jack Littlejohn and outside backs Justin Hunt and Josh Addo-Carr remains to be seen.

To be safe, as Taylor may well be too, we have put Chris Lawrence into the second row to bolster the forward pack and put Hunt on the wing to cover the loss of Pat Richards.

This moves dynamic ballrunner Kevin Naiqama to the centres, where Taylor used him six times last year.

Unless the Tigers can snare a few more signings before the season starts, the final line up will be a case of trial and error.

Throughout January Fox Sports will be previewing your team’s best 17 players.

As always, there will be some contentious decisions — and some unlucky omissions.

Scroll down and leave a comment to have your say.

Note: These line ups don’t take into account current injuries or suspensions.

LOCKS

It’s not all doom and gloom for the Wests Tigers in the recruitment stakes. They managed to pinch gifted young winger Joshua Addo-Carr from Cronulla for one year, with hopes he can turn it into a longer-term deal. The 20-year old scored 28 tries in 44 games for the Sharks under-20s and can play centre, wing or fullback which will add to the depth at the club. The young talent at the Tigers is obvious, but Addo-Carr can use his versatility to nab a spot on the wing at some stage in 2016.

THE BUBBLE

Manaia Cherrington

The young hooker played 11 games from the bench in 2015 but is set to miss out in favour of more experienced hooker Matt Ballin this season. It’s a shame too, because Cherrington showed plenty of promise and a lot of enthusiasm in his first taste of the top grade.

Barring injury to either Ballin or Robbie Farah it’s tough to see him getting more playing time than the occasional stint around Origin.

IT’S A BIG YEAR FOR…

Mitch Moses

Moses had his first full season in the halves during 2015 and copped a lot of criticism for his lapses in defence. However, that was to be expected from a 20-year-old who would normally have the luxury of playing alongside a more experienced half. However, Moses was never short on effort and that is the only thing you can ask from a playmaker who is still learning his craft. If allowed, Moses has a big chance to play his best free-flowing style of football in 2016, hopefully with some added size and wisdom on his side.

Do you giys do much research or just make stuff up ? Ava Seumanufagai will be one of the bench props instead of Buchannan obviously. It is widely understood Farah will start, Cherrington on bench for most of the year with Ballin to come in when Farah is injured or playing Origin which is usually 8-10 games

And half a dozen bored forum members getting irate about it. I was expecting to read another rumor about him and JT when I saw the thread title. Seriously, if this is the worst rumour that can be made about us, we're doing okay.

In today''s SMH Peter Fitz lays into Gallen for not rallying the troops in their SOO when NSW lost by a ton - then it occurred to me, hey that was the test that Robbie wasn't playing….

Half a dozen bored forum members

You must be bored for pointing out what is relevant information in regards with the ongoing Farah crap journalism.
As I was the one that opened the Thread with the relevant Articles I came across, give it a rest.

Sorry, but i just see an opinion on a positional change, nothing to get irate over as if the journo said something slanderous about Farah personally.
