I see that Ma'a Nonu has been moved on from the Hurricanes and is looking for a new Super Rugby club. Were'nt the Tigers talking to him at the beginning of this year? Just a thought, and probably just as valid as the rest of the rumours that seem to get credence here.

Yeah not a bad thought mate but id say he wouldnt come cheap…..id rather pick up a few bargain basement forwards for back up.

Our squad is very strong we just need consistency

don't feed the trolls.

He was in talks with Wests Tigers a few years back and from all accounts was seriously considering switching codes. It would be remiss of us not to at least enquire. OP is hardly trolling

Imagine him and Utai on one side, Lawrence and Tuqiri on the other.

Three words:

Utter [This word has been automatically removed]ing devastation.

Not as valid as other rumours as this isnt actually a rumour, its just your opinion that we should enquire about him. Would be a good signing but like tiger4ever said, he wouldnt come cheap and id say the money would be better spent elsewhere.

And I heard a rumour in the pub (William Wallace) tonight that between now and the Sunday game against the Warriors no one on this Forum would bag the club, the team or the players. I said that was b&@$. You can't stop the gibbers from gibbering.

actually not a bad rumour given what nonu said last year …

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/almost-a-tiger-nonu-channels-anger-in-quest-for-greatness-20100513-v1px.html

_MA'A NONU makes an appearance at Moore Park this weekend, but it should have been on Sunday for the Wests Tigers. **His mind was made up, and after a two-hour meeting with Tim Sheens in 2007** the All Blacks centre told his agent to sign the deal that would make him the NRL's highest-profile rugby recruit.\
\
**''Tim is a great coach, Benji Marshall had been texting me**. I was angry because I had been left out of the [2007] World Cup squad and I had decided I was going to switch,'' Nonu told the Herald yesterday. **''I told my agent to sign the contract.**''_

seen odd things on twitter and in a deleted thread in the warriors forum suggesting the same …

would offer ferguson what he wanted. the guy is a natural freak and has a running style that very few players in the nrl have (similar to a young inglis). big strong, giant strides at pace. Could play fullback, wing or centre i have no doubt. Ten times better footballer than brown, ryan, utai, mckinnon, ayshford, daniella, moltzen or even TUQUIRI or any other outside back the tigers have besides lawrence.

Farah mostly. Other than that the ill-discipline with penalties was spread pretty wide amongst the whole team. But in general I am referring to the fact that nobody ever gets dropped, which is hard to argue with isn't it?
