Moses Mbye’s first question

You will notice Madge talking about our spine Josh, Benji, Brooks and Farah. No mention of Liddle or Mbye.

Mbye article is interesting in light of Madge’s appointment. He is strong, fast and agile with a good pass. His negatives are he runs soft and is lazy in defence and getting back.
Madge will either make his career or end it.

I have a hunch he’s not Madge’s type
Of fullback.

I noticed the lack of talk about Liddle, but your right, he omitted Mybe aswell.
Maybe just an oversight but it's interesting that Mybe has came out with what he said.

Was thinking same thing…listened to all the interviews and no mention of Mbye and then the article comes that he has not spoken to Madge and doesn’t know anything. Very strange from both for one of our highest paid players

That said Mbye was pretty impressive for his first year as a fullback. That’s the issue when you keep changing coaches they all have different styles and like different types of players. I think Madge will be the best thing for Mbye.

I love Corey Thompson and his 110% effort every week , but if he is chosen at fullback over Mbye come Round 1 the coach has screwed the pooch big time with his 1st selection

Oh yeah, unless there's a new recruit coming in Mbye will be fullback. It's just an odd story.

He might be the best fullback we have atm, but that doesn’t mean Madge won’t look at options outside the club if Mbye is not his cup of tea as a fullback. Idk what happens if Madge doesn’t back him there, because he is one of the most average halves in the game when playing 6 or 7.

Umm cause he hasn't mentioned him…my god..loooooooooong off season..

Madge has only been at the WTs for a week, Tops. He would have been doing his research before he came but I wouldn’t read too much into what he isn’t saying just yet.

Mbye is our best fullback, so he should play there. I’m not sure who our second best fullback will be in 2019 but there would be daylight between Mbye and our next option

Agree, I'd be keeping him at fullback.

Yeah I wouldn't be moving him from fullback.

yeah i agree, unless he gets injured during next season…then dylan smith would have to be a stand in

I thought Mbye looked really good at fullback last year. He is only going to get better as he becomes more accustomed to the position.

I look at him as our fullback for the next 3 -4 years hopefully

Absolutely he will be our fullback next year. He may not be as good as Tedesco at this stage but I do believe that he will be an elite class fullback, given that he went so well last year and was called into the Qld, State of origin camp after only playing half the season at fullback.

I know it's true that different coaches like different styles of players but the thing they have in common is that they can all recognise class and I doubt that Maguire will want him to play any other position.

Mbye looks good when he tries.
I did notice a few occasions where he appeared as if he wasn't trying - somewhat coasting through the game - this stuff isn't going to fly under Madge's watch.

Expecting big things from the Noosa boy in 2019.
