Needs to GO.

Hit the thumbs up if you AGREE!

Mbye is an interesting example of poor recruitment. No denying he has some skill, and I guess that’s what Qld selectors saw in him? He hasn’t been a good fit at WT. I think the dogs should take him back at FB.

Ahead of Dufty?

I thought Cini organised our defensive line better than Mbye when at the back. Also showed more urgency to cover the kicks in 4th, 5th play on the line.
Attack wise ran more but we didn’t see what his passing game was like as there wasn’t the opportunities available.
I’m adamant that mbye is more suited to a first reciever role being at half or ball playing lock and that’s where he should remain for the year. I’d like Cini to have more time at fullback.

Haha, their fullbacks aren’t working so why not have one more?

Some really bad contracts Mbye, Packer, Reynolds, Matulino have crippled the club.
Our rebuild should have started 3 years ago instead we are treading water with a lack of talent. Unbelievable mess Cleary created.

And to me it highlights the point that changing a coach disrupts a clubs progress more. Packer Mbye would not have been as disillusioned and although still over priced, would have been better valued contracts (Reynolds would still have been injury prone, I thought Mats had a crack, also injury prone).

He completely stuffed us didn't he. I'm so glad he is gone. He is why I'm not a Madge hater. I don't see Madge stuffing this club longer term.

Cleary got those guys playing above their level. Madge hasn't got out team playing to their level.

I'm much more confident long term that Madge would have the team performing better than Cleary would. Madge will develop a better roster.

I think Mbye gets a spot in our team because we are short on talent but geez he is a borderline first grader in our team. Melbourne are going all out for Brandon Smith and offering him 600k. We are paying Mbye top dollar.

Very hard to get the best out of players that you are moving on in a bog average team. From the get go Maguire has had to try and move on our highest paid senior players with little interest be cause they were all ridiculously over paid. Your highest paid players should always be your best players and good luck to any coach who has it the opposite way around.

Exactly!

Some coach was going to have to come in and do the necessary dirt work to move players on that are on huge contracts and concentrate on the juniors. Madge is the guy. He should be able to enjoy the fruits of his labour once he can actually field a team he wants

I just can't work him out. He does have some skills, but seems to be coasting at the moment.

Running the ball into touch yesterday was something I just could not work out, though I will say he got to that ball with more urgency than I have seen from him in the last 3 months. He floats around the ball runner but it appears like he is trying to get on camera, he doesn't appear to actually want the ball.

His efforts returning kicks are embarrassing, he is looking for anyone else to (and prepared to throw stupid passes to get someone else to) do the work. When he is isolated, he jogs to the defence and submits to the tackle.

I honestly can't wait to see the back of him and would prefer to to see anyone prepared to make an effort picked ahead of him.

Dragons fans actually seem to want him lol

Found this pearler and had to share

Mbye is a very smart footballer, he is not a player like Pongia but more like a Hornby. With our young players coming through we need a player like Mbye.

He would be the PERFECT fit for Dragons

He will poison their juniors with the rubbish he spews forth. Yay, can’t wait.

I hope he goes well at the Dragons....he needs a change of scenery and if he can play a particular position more than chop and change then that would be even better...he has had to play so many here over time that he doesnt know what his true position is....great cutout pass to KM yesterday and can be a good ball player in the halves...anyway good luck to him...I like him and so do many others within the club....

*George Burgess will make his NRL comeback with the Dragons next season on a two-year deal as negotiations continue around Wests Tigers utility Moses Mbye joining him in the Red V.*

*Mbye meanwhile is expected to eventually join Anthony Griffin's squad with an early release from his Tigers contract, though that remains contingent on talks between the two clubs.*

*His lucrative salary for next season has the Tigers well aware they will be required to contribute freight to release him, with a split of around $400,000 paid by each club likely to seal the deal.*

*The Dragons have made an out-and-out utility of Mbye's ilk a priority in their recruitment as Griffin continues to shape his long-term roster.*

This needs to happen Yesterday for me... So all parties can move on and also before Dragons come to there senses.. 400k is the most I would pay though as anymore we may as well keep him as backup coverage.

It would be reckless in the extreme to pick Mbye this week and risk him picking up any sort of injury that may put the dragons off.

Let him go now. Why keep him. Cini is as serviceable as Mbye

And a 10th of the cost.

Still jobberish though and not a first grader.
