What??? He did nothing. Someone on this forum please show me one fend, offload, tackle break that justifies his position. Its an insult to Nofo when you dare say he is good. He rarely makes good decisions, rarely busts ant tackles, never fends people off, never does low percentage finishers. he is absolutely hopeless and I challenge you to post at least 5 moments where he did something even remotely good.

Did you see Nofo leave his winger completely unmarked to score a try or his play the ball attempt when he just dropped it cold.

Mbye kicked his goals, scored a try & tried hard all game. The previous week he was fantastic at dummy half. He has had one bad game all season and that was with a winger there who shouldn't have been there.

Sure he is overpaid but as has just been stated that isn't his fault.

The one bad game he has had according to you Earl - it was all his fault.

Blaming a first timer is not on - Mbye let in four tries, he is a dope.

Mbye is an ok player he is always going to cop it however due to his contract. Like others have mentioned he was crazy not to take it' it just adds extra pressure as does captaincy

I like Mbye , had a cracker against the dogs. Great to see him pump the boys up and show some emotion like a cAptain should be doing. I’d prefer to move Reynolds and packer on before mbye. I actually think he would be a great 5/8 and he tried to get alot more involved agaisnt the dogs. It’s not his fault he is on superstar dollars we have our lovely traitor Ivan to thank for that.

I will watch the game again and get back to you. But that sideline kick to tie up the score with 5 minutes to go was “remotely good” don’t you think?

5 moments? How about his 4 conversions plus 1 try.

I believe you’re an Eels supporter?
Maybe you can coax the Eels into taking Mbye if you think he’s that valuable

I'm not blaming the first timer but it is something to consider. I'm not the only one who mentioned this as well.

We need better off a star player but that is because everyone assumes he is a star player based on his pay packet. Reynolds is also a star player. We've clearly gotten much better value out of Mbye.

You really want to talk about his conversions???? Even the commentators bag him out and say we need a solution. Yes he can score a try when handed the ball with no opposition....yipeee. show me one try, just one where he really had to work for it.

Well if those are your standards for good moments then yeah, what a player, what amazing players we have across the park.

I think its a little harsh to call him crap.
Defence - apart from the south's game, he is consistently one of our best
Attack - apart from some dirty hit ups after oppositions clearing kick, there's not much he can do at centre if the ball doesn't go to him. We certainly favour going to the Leiluma side hence nofo bagging so many tries
Kicking - got a feeling his practice would have been more of late. Didn't he carry a leg injury for a while? Maybe he is getting more practice time now and fingers cross is on the up.
Captaincy - well we can only hope he has broken the shackles from the weekend and really start asserting himself from this point on.
Definitely a waste at centre. FB or halves for him to shine

Your enthusiasm simultaneously annoys me and genuinely puts a smile on my face!!!! Grrrrr

Some people actually thought he played well? Wow. He was invisible. Did nothing. Not one tackle break. He created nothing. He did get most of his kicks, but that was more luck than anything. They could have ended up anywhere.

But games like this might entice some clubs for him at half price which would be a fantastic result for the club!

Tigers marquee man Mbye seeks permission to negotiate with rival clubs
Michael ChammasMarch 31, 2021 — 6.00pm
Moses Mbye's days at the Wests Tigers could be coming to an end after he approached the club to seek permission to negotiate with rival teams for next season.

The former Wests Tigers skipper still has another year to run on his lucrative deal with the joint venture, however on Wednesday requested the blessing of the club to look at alternative options in 2022.

The Herald has been told the Tigers have granted the 27-year-old permission to talk to other clubs for next year. Mbye is on a deal worth around $800,000 next season, but has been relegated to the bench over the past fortnight and is being used as a utility.

The Herald contacted Mbye on Wednesday, with the former Origin centre admitting he had spoken to the club about a potential release for next year.

"Let's be brutally honest, I don't think the club would be thrilled that their marquee player is being used off the bench for half an hour a week," a forthright Mbye told the Herald.

"I'm not ashamed to admit that the club is not getting value for money out of me. I have a big opinion of the club and want to be part of its success. It's why I have no intention of leaving this year or leaving the club in a hole.

"But I know this opportunity can benefit the club as well as myself and it may work out a win-win situation for both parties. I get the opportunity to look around and find a club that wants me to play more minutes, and potentially even another year on top of my deal."

"If it doesn't work out elsewhere then I have no hesitations committing myself to the Tigers in 2022, but I feel it's an avenue worth exploring. The club has been very supportive and understanding of my situation and whatever the outcome there will be no issue between me and the Wests Tigers."

Sources with knowledge of discussions told the Herald the Tigers would be willing to pay up to half the 27-year-old's $800,000 salary next year should a club open formal discussions.

He joined the Tigers from the Bulldogs midway through 2018 and has been used in multiple positions, but hasn't managed to land a permanent spot due to his versatility. Coach Michael Maguire made Mbye captain when he joined the club in 2019, with veteran Benji Marshall added as co-captain last year.

“I’m not ashamed to admit that the club is not getting value for money out of me.”

Mbye stood down as captain at the end of last year and hasn’t been in the club’s leadership group since. The Queenslander has played 138 NRL games since his debut for the Bulldogs in 2014.

"I still feel like I have a lot to offer a club," Mbye said. "I know things haven't panned out the way I would have liked at the Tigers, but sometimes a fresh start can make a big difference and perhaps that's where I am at in life.

"I don't know what the future holds but I appreciate the honest conversations I've had with the Tigers. I'm not one to play games or beat around the bush. I'd rather be up front about where things are at and we'll see where things end up."

As reported by the Herald last week, the Cowboys are also keeping a close eye on Luke Brooks’ future at the Wests Tigers. Brooks was under enormous pressure after the first two rounds but last week’s win against Newcastle will silence the critics for a short period. Brooks still has a close relationship with Payten, who coached the halfback in the juniors at the Tigers.

He was always long odds to see out his contract.

Imagine getting both he and Packer off the books for 2022 😦😦
