Not Mbye's fault that Ivan Cleary panicked and paid Super overs.

I really respect Moses Mbye for his honesty and I really am hopeful that he and the club will find a mutually beneficial outcome.

I'd respect him even more if he gave half the dough back.

Me too. People keep saying it’s not his fault he was signed for so much. But it’s his fault and no one else’s that he didn’t deliver. I’m trying to remember one game he won for us or played with us and I said wow. Laurie has done that 3 games in.

Was that the guy who had his best ever game on debut like ten years ago and hasn’t been seen since lol

McGuire for Mbye?

Both been told they can look elsewhere. Both have contracts for next year.

We could use him at lock.

I’m not a fan of taking other teams problems but the best swap deal which is somewhat fair as both players are playing poorly is Mbye for Corey Oates. Salaries are not far off and he’s playing Intrust. He’s a specialist left winger who is a poor backrower.

Wish him the best of luck. Have always found him a great club ambassador and I actually hope he gets the same chance as Corey Thompson did (with Titans) - the best possible outcome for he and his young family.

I don’t blame Mbye. Maguire is jeopardising our season by not picking the best players due to their pay packet that’s why he did not put him in the leadership group which I thought was very harsh. Mbye is a much better player than Kepaoa & should be playing in the centre’s he has played there for Queensland so surely he should be playing there for the Tigers who are a bit short of centre’s & Talau for mine has played better on the wing & should be playing in that position with Jake Simpkin on the bench. Another example is Russell Packer who really has not had that many opportunities to prove himself due to his pay packet while Luke Garner who would be on much less money is still given more chances even though his performances have not been that great for a while he did the same with Josh Reynolds overlooking him for Benji so then he would leave which is what happened. Maguire should just pick the best players he has available now & so we can make the semis.

Benji Reynolds

Packer has Utoikamanu, Tamou, Ofehengaue, Musgrove, Twal ahead of him.

Talau is the only option at right centre and is a better player by a mile over Mbye. He’s not a winger.

Mbye is best suited as a utility and he just blew a golden opportunity to win a game with a drop over the line for an ex captains unacceptable.
Blind Freddy can tell you Jake Simpkin is coming once he has a few games and our draw gets easier.

Not sure I agree with anything above.

Perfectly summarised. Agree 100% I like Mbye and have backed him before but he’s now in danger of not appearing in our top 17 barring injury

Find it funny how he is getting kudos
I will start off not his fault that the money he is on and good on him for getting it . Also good on him for looking out for himself by looking at other options (clubs will score over players if it’s in their interest )

Now him being classy etc because he has sought permission , please .

Classy would he him , delivering in performances and demanding selection in the 13 and earn his spot . Not try mov{ on because he can’t break into the side .
Also did it need to be announced , why put more spotlight on the club

It's no coincidence this has come up the same time Hastings talk has ramped up again.
Believe there is a club who reached out to Mbye's management which prompted this request, him leaving this yea isn't out of the realms of possibility.

Any chance of Hastings for this year?

Lets be clear, MBye off to a club will.be great for him.and salary cap relief in 2022 will ve even greater for our Tigers

We should not offer much for him to leave, if the team has one or two injuries he could be our best option in in the halves, centres or at fullback.

If we can't use his money to buy a star then we should keep him.

The key benefit for him leaving is we wouldn't have to carry his salary next year, but I agree it would leave us short for depth at fullback. I think it's worth the risk though, if he has something lined up we should let him go.

Dear Telecrap...

Please fact check your articles..

This is behind a paywall thank god but shows everything that is wrong with RL reporting ..you can't call it journalism..

Headline Former skipper demands early exit from Tigers deal..

The former Wests Tigers skipper has asked the club for an early release from his big money deal. ?

Fact..No release has been requested..Moses has made no demands..permission has been sought to look elsewhere for 2022.

Telecrap ..you caaaaaarn't let facts get in the way of a good story..you caaaaarn't..

I agree.... But when does a club / or player start standing up to this rubbish..
Yesterday Moses and the club clearly released a statement about what happened and it is nowhere near what DT / Fox report..
I would love nothing more than Lee to stand up and ask the questions to DT / Fox and put them in there place.
Unfortunately most Tigers fans fall for it and there click baits and it makes it a issue when it is not.

I don't know the legal term but it has to be boarding on Bullying as there clearly have an agenda against us.

There are 2 clubs that are in crises mode now and yet they continue with Tigers stuff.
Manly - Last and getting flogged with players not happy...
Cowboys - Bottom as well and players unhappy and even now club has said Josh McGuire is free to go as well.. Yet nothing.
Anyway my rant over ..

No one cares about those clubs . The tigers are a huge draw card , and we attract drama . People care , which means clicks ,which means money , which means journos keep a job , when they’re is increasingly more podcasters , and online blogger types .

Think $ and you won't be far from the truth.

The Cowboys also have a hooker issue, not just the half position.

The Cowboys have problems with about 13 positions.

Come on man ! Do you give back your money , when you have a bad day ? Plenty of people in this world getting paid way more than they’re worth .

That’s the definition of insanity, doing the same thing but expecting a different result.

Do you reckon Moses possibly leaving this year would be dependant on us getting Hastings this year, or would the club be happy to let Moses go regardless. We do have Walters coming back at some point who could do a similar job to Mbye.

I do t think so, Hastings isnt the answer to any questions we have right now.

There is potentially a full year of salary to save and the player welfare advantages.

Tigers and Mbye should make whatever deal they can.
